How does levitra/vardenafil compare?

Postby Implant_Curious » Wed Jul 28, 2021 1:01 am

I have tried sildenafil 25-100mg, and tadalafil 5mg daily, and 10-20mg on demand. The 5mg tadalafil daily is definitely the most consistent, I find the peak of cialis on demand hard to predict, could be 6-12 hours in. Sildenafil has more of a "kick" to it for me, shorter duration, but still better erections the next day.

I have not yet tried Levitra. I know the suggestion is to try them all systematically, and that some respond very well to Levitra, some poorly.

I am however interested, how is the acute effect in any way different to sildenafil? To those who prefer it to Cialis or Sildenafil, why is that the case?

I would agree with your assessment of Viagra having the “kick” factor. However, for me that was very dependent on taking it on an empty stomach. The kick was greatly diminished if food and drink were mixed in which is usually the case on date night.

Back when PDE5 inhibitors were still effective for me, vardenafil (Levitra) was my go too for date night. It didn’t have the peek kick like viagra but had a longer steady duration of effectiveness. Also I could take it after we got home from an evening of dinner and drinks and and it worked dependability where Viagra left me down in that situation.

I never could tolerate Cialis in higher doses due to the side effects. I currently use low dose tadalafil daily for maintenance purposes but it never was a date night solution for me.

I agree that Cialis 20mg is very unpredictable in terms of the kick in time frame. For me, it is sometimes more than 12 hours for the full efficiency, but I can easily go with it for the next 4-5 days.

Sildenafil was my number 1 pill to use. Even 25mg right 15 min before sex was giving me amazing results for the next 5-6 hours easily. However, I have no idea what the hell happened and it is like even I use 100 mg now, it's like nothing. Empty stomach does not even matter.

Well, Vardenafil gave me the worst side effects when I used it a few times. I do not even know if I gave me any decent erections because of the excruciating headaches... So it's a NO for me, but again everybody is different.

Let us know the results if you give it a try!

Have a prescription now for cialis, been using it daily 5mg, but a generic version without a prescription, which was much weaker. I aim to now use the prescription 5mg daily, and on top of that as needed, 25-50mg sildenafil. I take it in the morning, so over weekends, I am using 10mg a day (10mg Friday, 10mg Saturday) extra on top of the 5mg. That seems to work well. I think for this weekend, to maybe use 20mg once the Friday morning? Should it then be effective for both Friday and Saturday evenings?

I tried vardenafil once and I didn't like it. Maybe it's because I took it in combination with dostinex, which killed my libido.

Some combinations work, others don't. Only your doctor (urologist) can say what's best for you.

I have tried most PDE-5 inhibitors available and Cialis 20 mg was my #1 choice for many years. Viagra is very effective but side effects are unpleasant. Avanafil works well but the effect is short-lived (2-3 hours).

I'm currently taking udenafil and I love it: no side effects, long lasting effects, no interaction with food.
