Morning erections but not with tadalafil

I am two years post nerve-sparing prostatectomy. I am getting full ridged morning erections but cannot get a firm enough one for penetration with 20mg tadalafil. It is not because I was not stimulated by my wife. I just saw the Sex Therapist this week. And she said I have to get the negative erection thoughts out of my head while trying to have intercourse. Anyone else gone through something similar that can share with me anything helpful?

Are you able to get rigid, lasting erections while masturbating?

Have you tried other pde5's? For me, cialis doesnt seem to work well, but viagra 100mg or sildenafil works not too bad. I have experimented, as many others here, with VED, constriction rings, and so on and so on. My uro also said that is typical, as different pde5 affect different folks.
Negative effects from your mind? Maybe. However, I have enjoyed, and the mrs as well, experimenting, as I said above, even with sex toys and such. The "experiments" alone or the thought of, or a new thought of experiment, is a "erection stimulator"!

Sometimes if I take a 100mg sildenafil, and not get a good erection, I throw on a constriction ring. Am NOT A DR.,but sometimes will boost the sildenafil, am careful of my bp, and my uro gave me a careful go ahead.
I also take arginineL, 2 scoops before sexual activity. Has helped, and helped to lower my BP, and am weaning down on my BP boner killer meds, since I am also losing weight.

In the same boat here. Sildenafil 100mg works much better than 20mg Taladafil.
I've been experimenting taking Sildenafil a few hours before I wake up to try and find my morning wood again. Sildenafil works for this, Taladafil doesn't. Haven't tried alternative pills yet.

I've found that a properly sized Giddy is helpful for me.
I have two sizes; one for use with Trimix (larger size)
and one for no injection. Giddy is a specialized cock
ring, not round but oval to match penis shape. It is open
at the bottom (secured by tension band) to allow
ejaculate or urine pass. It also has nubs at the top
to constrict the dorsal vein to retard venous leakage.
