Seredyn for sexual performance anxiety

Postby Flavio » Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:48 pm

Anxiety has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

In my 20s, sexual performance anxiety was a major cause of stress and depression but I didn't even know at the time that this was a medical condition.

I tried several anxiolytics (trazodone, tianeptine) but most were ineffective, with the honorable exception of Seredyn.

I used Seredyn for several years with good results and now that I'm working on a new regimen, I went back to this treatment produced by BioNeurix Corporation.

Seredyn is not an ED treatment, it is just a food supplement for the treatment of anxiety but I believe it may be useful in cases of sexual performance anxiety because of its list of ingredients:

-L-Theanine

- Passion Flower

- Valerian extract

- Niacinamide

- Magnesium Taurinate

All these ingredients are 100% natural, they do not cause sedation and do not interfere with ED medication. Some of them may actually improve erectile function and there are studies that prove it, esp. niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3) and L-theanine (a dopaminergic agent).

If you read the user reviews on Amazon, you will see that some users did not respond to Seredyn but there are no reports of major side effects. I am currently using it in combination with a PDE-5 inhibitor and will continue to do so in the near future.

I have used the supplement Taurine over many years for anxiety. It is a very mild neoro-transmitter. It kind of makes you focus more on positive thoughts rather that gloomy ones. It has no impact on ED one way or the other unlike antidepressants

Thanks for surfacing this Flavio! Again, can't thank you enough for all of your pioneering.

Do you take Seredyn daily or do you only take it when you take a PDE5 inhibitor?

Only as needed, with a PDE-5 inhibitor (udenafil). Seredyn does not cause hypotension, so you can safely combine both treatments. Thanks!

Thanks for your tip.

Yes, I know taurine and I agree it is a good supplement. Taurine is one of the ingredients of PRELOX for ED.

thanks Flavio - do you stack PDE5 inhibitor + Seredyn + phentolamine? Or do you usually choose between either Seredyn or Phentolamine?

I take all three, 30 minutes before sex.

Combining Seredyn (2 capsules) with udenafil is perfectly safe, no risk of side effects.

The problem is combining udenafil and phentolamine, it worsens side effects, esp. hypotension. :(

I did some research on magnesium taurinate, one of the igredients of Seredyn (see above).

Whereas Taurine is an amino acid, when it is chelated to magnesium, it substantially increases its absorption into tissue. Magnesium Taurinate is used for blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation and other cardiovascular diseases.

Another interesting fact: L-theanine, the main ingredient of Seredyn, is also the main ingredient of the ED supplement from Biosmart Nutraceuticals.

I've never tried the Biosmart supplement and I don't know how effective it really is but this corroborates my previous assertion, that some of the ingredients of Seredyn may improve sexual function.
