Viibryd(vilazadone)

Bloody hell, that's one of the newer antidepressants that are meant to be safe.

Yeah it was one of the newer ones but still not safe. It’s basically an ssri with a 5ht1a agonist so it would by my understanding be like taking an ssri and buspirone together. It still caused pssd for me and far as I can tell may be permanent.

I read on this forum of somebody getting a diagnosis of "post finasteride syndrome" and from there getting the okay from an experienced surgeon for an implant, I think they got Dr Eid.

As you know, the symptoms of PFS can be very similar to the symptoms you are experiencing with PSSD. PSSD has recently become medically recognised, but I've not yet read of anyone getting the okay for an implant.

I would check out for a venous leak, I've read cases of people with PFS getting venous leaks and I suspect it is possible with PSSD.

To that point, if you are not having nocturnal erections, then need to be careful of dick shrinkage. This is a more common case for people who have had RP surgery, but when the body stops having erections the penis atrophies and shrinks. So this another reason to seek treatment.

But push for treatment, I think it's a very good idea to seek support for this because ED will wear you down mentally, you lose self confidence and nobody gives a shit about men losing self confidence, you lose sleep, it has a big impact on your health.

Yeah I am already losing confidence. I have SOME slight nocturnal erections every couple of nights but no morning or spontaneous day ones. I have already noticed shrinkage when flaccid. Not sure if it’s just a side effect and my smooth muscle is staying retracted and tight or if it’s from not having normal and regular erections. Erection wise the size seems the same. It is similar in side effects to pfs. If I had normal sensation and could consistently get an erection I would live with it but I’m not.I’ve been stalling to see if it resolves with more time but creeping up on two years I’m the same which makes me think it is not going to resolve on its own.

If you are concerned about the lack of nocturnal erections leading to size loss, you can emulate the effects of nocturnal erections with erection created by a Vcuum Erection Device (VED).

There are two protocols mentioned in past threads on FrankTalk. Both use the VED (without constriction ring) twice a day for about a half hour (morning and night is usually most convenient). One applies vacuum to induce an erection for 30 minutes or so. The other applies vacuum to induce an erection for about a minute, then let the erection go flaccid and repeat that process for 30 minutes or so. NEITHER should apply vacuum so much as to cause pain or injury!!! The first stretches your tissues and allows for gentle increasing of the vacuum incrementally throughout the session. The second stretches your tissues and allows for flushing blood through your tissues to bring in oxygenated blood and flush out old blood. Both work to maintain tissue elasticity, size and health.

I did it for 14 months from the time I pretty much lost all erectile ability, through all the months of searching to find a surgeon available to me who I could trust and right up to the day before surgery.

Well I’m not sure if the slow down of nocturnal erections would effect flaccid size or not. I was occasionally using the hydromax pump but I tend to have busted vessels after using. I do take cialis pretty regularly to increase bloodflow there and it does help some with nocturnal ones.

Unless you are on blood thinners or have some other issues with your blood vessels, your busted blood vessels suggest to me that you are applying too much vacuum. I did that and got edema (no discoloration, but alarming-looking extreme puffiness).

the pills do not help with the pretty severe PE I get now which means I only last 5-10 mins at best.

5-10 min is severe PE now? I haven't taken a formal survey but I don't think you're out of the realm of normal lol, cut yourself a little break
40 y/o straight married guy with supportive wife. Slowly progressive ED from venous leak since adolescence. Pills were a godsend for years, now as the efficacy fades, I am wading into the land of injections and implant

That’s a fair statement, I haven’t timed it but it’s more on the 4-5 minute realistically and that’s doing my best to not go sooner

I do agree, severe PE would be under 60 seconds. 5 - 10 minutes is how long the majority of penetrative sex lasts, believe it or not!
Age 57, ED issues for 15-20 years. Testosterone replacement with Enanthate and Ovidrel. Currently using generic Tadalafil 2.5mgs and Resveratrol daily.
