Vacum pumps?

Postby Nash3222 » Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:20 pm

So posted on another thread, no more boners for me after RP. Pills, shots not so good, insurance wont cover implant.
So What has anyone's experience been with Vacuum pumps?

What kind of a hard on does a pump give you? ( say compared to when you could get a hard on naturally? )
How longs does it last?

Is a Vacuum pump a trial and error thing to find the sweet spot?

Any particular brands/names I should look at buying?

Things to look out for? Is using a pump painful?

Thanks

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is at best based on my own experiences. At worst it's based on hallucinations and/or delusions. Internet forum advice is likely worth what you paid for it, or worse. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.

I primarily use the pumps for therapy, although I have used a pump with constriction rings for sex. I initially had issues with injections, both with pain or ache and success so I depended on a pump and rings. With some adjustments in dose and technique I got the injections working well so now the pump is just for therapy in my case.

Nothing beats a good natural erection. The VED with rings for sex is a compromise for those of us that have few other viable options. It's a whole lot better than nothing. It can give you a large fat erection, possibly even bigger than your natural erection, when you had one.

You are most definitely time limited to 15 to 20 minutes, then the ring has to come off to allow fresh blood into your tissues. If you ignore the time limit you can risk permanent damage, so don't. However, I have been known to reach my time limit, remove the ring, take a brake to let fresh blood in and then repump and reapply the ring and continue.

Well, there is a learning curve. The more you do it I believe the easier it is.

No, I think all of the medical grade VEDs are good. I have an Osbon Erecaid system. I think they make the best rings but you don't have to use their pump to use their rings. I've also purchased a couple of sex shop pumps in the past. They don't work well with the medical grade rings, at least that's my experience. It's also been my experience that the sex shop pumps don't hold up near as well. Cheaper more brittle plastic for example. Of course they usually don't cost near as much. They all produce a vacuum and therefore an erection. Whatever you get just make sure it has a quick pressure release.

Just be careful. Error on the side of caution. Be patient. A Viagra or other prick pill may help with pumping. Erotic thoughts, by whatever means may also help. If using the pump is painful - STOP. Done correctly it should not be painful. If it hurts then back off, release the vacuum.

We have a long term pump and ring user that reports very satisfactory success. Hopefully he will chime in. I defer to any information or suggestions he makes.

An added suggestion. If you don't already you might want to consider some manscaping. #1) It is easier to get a seal with the VED if you don't have a bunch of hair getting in the way causing a bad seal. #2) The silicone constriction rings do not get along with hair. Save yourself some pain and do some trimming. Taking off a ring when finished, will definitely get your attention and is very unpleasant when it takes hair with it, which they like to do. I'm not talking full shave. You'll figure it out.
