Excellent news: according to Futura Medical's James Barder, the new ED gel should be available in 2021 (Europe) and the covid-19 crisis had very little impact on the approval procedure.

Here's the update (July 2020):

No side effects, no prescription required (OTC) and the gel works in 10 minutes. Amazing!

I'm a bit surprised that this thread isn't getting more attention. Phase 3 was successfully completed in December 2019, we have every reason to believe these guys and if this new gel is half as good as they say, it is going to be a revolution in the treatment of ED.

What chemicals are in the gel?

I'm not sure. Earlier formulations contained nitroglycerin but I believe it was removed. Their website mentions 'volatile solvent components specifically tailored for the treatment of ED.'

What makes this treatment so unique and effective is the DermaSys technology:

Watching with great interest about this topical gel for ED. Been reading for 5 years for a Gel that actually will penetrate the skin and work like injections. Let’s see what happens.

It is very interesting, but i can't help being skeptical about it.

In a phase III trial dubbed FM57, MED2005 showed strong efficacy, safety, speed of onset, and had a highly statistically significant impact on the participants in the control group of the experiment. Over 60% of participants saw onset within 10 minutes of applying of the gel.

However, the placebo used in the study also demonstrated statistically significant and clinically meaningful top line results, meaning that the study did not meet primary endpoints versus placebo.

The placebo did not contain glyceryl trinitrate (GTN), MED2005’s key ingredient, but did contain key ingredients that constitute DermaSys’ proven transdermal technology and was shown to be as effective in the treatment of ED as the active doses.

Dunno, sounds like bullshit to me. Over the counter, magical drug that works?
Too good to be true, but i guess time will tell. We can always hope...

Let's wait and see.

Futura Medical is a reliable company, the gel is FDA-approved and I know several compound pharmacies that already sell similar treatments for ED.

I am sure years ago people were skeptical when hearing there was a magical Blue pill would give me a Erection that would last for a hour or two. I know some Urologists who have talked negative about the progress of this Gel. It could eliminate a lot of Transplant customers.

MED3000 is the only thing between me and an implant. I have followed the development of this new gel for years. It sounds almost too good to be true. Maybe it could be mixed with pills or injections if it won't work on its own. We'll see.
