VL or something else?

Postby sweaterfan » Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:40 am

Hi,

I have been injecting alprostadil 50mcg for several months and while it normally does produce a quality erection there is a cycle of erect-flacid states over 45-60 minutes. I will be erect for about 5 minutes, then flacid for 5-10, then erect for 5, flacid for 5-10, and so on. I inject a full 1cc of premixed thawed alprostadil each time. I tried Trimix with the same result. My urologist suspects VL but no tests have been performed to confirm this. Has anyone with VL experienced this cycle effect?

Thanks.

Have you tried adding various cock rings to the mix to see if that will help even things out a bit?

I tried a few rings (actually, a couple of adjustable plastic tubes as well as a strap with velcro closures) but I found that even though it kept some of the girth I wasn't stiff enough to perform. Maybe I'm not making the ring/strap tight enough.

I just find it odd that I have this cycle. I've read that with VL you can't get an erection at all (or a very poor one at best). That's not what I'm experiencing.

I did some more research on this forum and when I searched for Xialla I found at least two people who seem to have the same cyclic problem. Once my Xiaflex cycles are over I'm going to order a Xialla and give it a try along with my alprostadil injections.

Thanks!
