help with chat

Im having a hard time with the chat room. I'm using a MS Surface with windows 10. I can get into the chat and send messages. but I cant scroll up or down on the messages or the contacts.Also I have to manually refresh to see messages sent to me.
Any ideas?

I am in the same boat. I used to come in often but I cannot figure out how to use any more. If anyone can help, PM me.
