Porn and erectile dysfunction

Postby Flavio » Tue Feb 25, 2020 5:34 pm

I don't want to offend anyone but I hate porn with a passion.

Porn movies are fake and degrading for both men and women. I don't like them, I don't watch them and I would never spend a single cent on that garbage.

Moreover, I strongly believe they can cause ED, esp. among young men: they numb the viewers' senses, create false expectations and have nothing to do with real life sex.

There are several studies and articles on porn-induced ED:

I just read something about NoFap.

It seems to be some sort of ideology, movement or group that advocates against porn, orgasm and masturbation. Sounds good to me!

Any info on this appreciated.

(I know this is controversial but I don't want to offend anyone, I don't like porn or masturbation but if it works for you that's fine).

When I first started experiencing ED, I found that light use of porn helped. However, once I increased my use of porn, I found that it “desensitized” my libido.

I believe some therapists use porn movies in their sessions and there's nothing wrong with that. If it works with those couples and gets them 'in the mood', fine.

I used to watch a lot of porn in my teens, today I don't like it anymore. Porn has nothing to do with real life sex and some of stunts we see are just stupid and wreckless.
