Cock Rings 30 minutes?

So both the nurse that explained Trimix shots and my doctor recommended that I use a silicon cock ring.

I have been told to put it on my flaccid penis then inject the Trimix. The instructions say to use lubricant on an erect penis.

I have read everywhere not to use the ring for more than 30 minutes. If I put the ring on and then inject the Trimix, that
doesn't give me a lot of time to use it. I figure between my girlfriend getting me hard I have about 10 minutes for intercourse.

Is the rule of thumb really 30 minutes? Should I put it on after I get an erection?

Any advise would be much appreciated.

The reason for the time limit is because it restricts blood flow (and discomfort, but that latter one is self-enforcing). So, I would start the time countdown upon getting an erection thick enough to begin the bloodflow restriction. Please PLEASE, verify with your medical team that this advice is good advice.

Is a restriction device REALLY needed when you use the injection?

For what it is worth, let me tell you what my procedure is for using Trimix and a cock ring. It gives me much more time than the 10 minutes you are worried about. I inject into a basically flacid penis; I stretch it a bit before injecting just to have a bigger target. After holding the injection spot for the 3 minutes recommended by my urologist, my wife and I have some foreplay for roughly half an hour. When we are ready for intercourse, I use a vacuum erection device (penis pump) to firm up my erection and then slide the cock ring off the pump cylinder and on to the base of my penis. Even if you have to use a very tight ring, you can start your 30 minute timing at that point. In my case, the ring is just to improve the erection a little bit and the circulation is not cut off so I can easily go longer than the 30 minutes. For me, the purpose of the ring is to compensate for a venous leak. You didn't say whether you also have this problem. If not, you might be able to do well without the ring. I suggest investigating various doses of Trimix with and without the ring to see what you need.

It depends on the tension applied by the cock ring. I use tight Osbon tension bands that cause my erection to begin to loose sensitivity after 15 minutes and become quite numb by 20 minutes. However, I also have a neoprene cock ring and a silicone beeded cock ring which I can wear for well over 30 minutes; however, the latter two are not tight enough to maintain a hard erection for me, but I am not currently using injections.

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is based on my own experiences, at best and hallucinations and/or delusions at worst. Internet forum advice is likely worth what you paid for it, or worse. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.

As previous posters stated or implied, it depends on how tight the ring is. If it stops blood flow, then yes, you have those strict time constraints. If you wear one that just slows it for enhancement then you should be good for considerably longer.

Just to point out: there are various sizes of restriction rings that you can use. Mine are the Encore Impo-Aid rings. Their numbering system runs from 9 down to 3, with 3 the tightest. I currently have a 9, 7, 6, 5, and 4. I don't use the 3, it is too tight for me. This is an important part of my life, so I have tried the various rings to find the one(s) that work for me in various circumstances. I can wear a 9 almost all day, but the 4 needs to be removed, at least temporarily, to allow re-circulation at the 30 minute mark. They are not cheap, run around $15 apiece, but last for many months.
