How Long Will it Take to Feel Libido Improvement on T Cream?

Postby kinggg » Mon Dec 02, 2019 9:12 pm

I'm on T cream which I started 9 days ago with 3 days in between of not taking it. How long does it take to notice libido improvement?

Will my body reject it if after taking it for a few days I stop taking it for 3 days?

Everybody's different. I was on Androgel for 6 or 7 months - it successfully brought my T level up but had no effect on my libido or anything else. Since T therapy is not without risk, and I was seeing no benefit, I discontinued treatment.

My total T is at 287 and I have DE (even with manual manipulation and extreme visual stimulation). I haven't asked my urologist about T Cream or other TRT but I've heard that TRT alone can have some pretty big negatives. Does anyone here use progesterone cream (or oral, or shots) instead of or in addition to TRT? As I understand it, progesterone is needed by males too and it keeps estrogen levels in check so they don't spike. It also is a precursor to testosterone so it raises total T. I've read that low progesterone in men can cause the following symptoms:

  1. anxiety
  2. low libido
  3. hair loss
  4. weight gain
  5. fatigue
  6. gynecomastia (breast development in men)
  7. depression
  8. erectile dysfunction
  9. impotence
  10. bone loss
  11. arthritis
  12. muscle loss
  13. prostatism (a.k.a., BPH)
  14. cancer
Of that list, I've highlighted those symptoms that I suffer from (or in the case of ED, did before IPP implantation).

I believe my DE falls somewhere between low libido and impotence on the scale of symptoms.

So if any men reading this are using or have used progesterone:
  • How well did it work?
  • Did you use progesterone alone or with testosterone?
  • If it worked, which delivery method worked for you (oral, injection/subcutaneous or transdermal)?
  • What dosage was required for the best effect? If only taking progesterone, how much did it raise your total T?

It’s been a while, but I recall that after two or three weeks, I started to see some improvement.

Thats good news. But have you had any short or long breaks from taking TRT? If so, did your T level drop?
