Doctor wrote 10mg Clomipramine..wont that affect my ED?

Postby Captain1117 » Tue Oct 08, 2019 11:47 am

Hello

Second post here.

I am 44, generally healthy male. Slow on setting ED with age, PE has been bothering for long time.

Last week met a physician in a men's clinic. We did try the injection..the clinician wasn't happy with the result. The dosage or the mix has to tried again. The doctor wrote me 10mg Clomipramine..to be taken 3 before sex(3-5 hours).

Read few reports on internet about Clomipramine as a potential cause for ED. Why then the doc prescribing this method to treat PE as I have ED already.

Appreciate if experienced members can share their thoughts..

It is sometimes prescribed for premature ejaculation.
He is assuming the injections will solve the ED issues, I'm sure.
But you have every right to ask for a different drug for the premature ejaculation.
Do we know the cause of your ED?

Thanks for the response.
It feels good to know that the admin here care enough to share their knowledge.

Just returned from the clinic. In quite bit of pain since second injection of Trimix today by a new employee there.

First I was injected on the left side with a higher dosage(they don't mention what and how much). After the 10 minute waiting got around 40 percent erection and angle was 25deg appproximately. Definitely not adequate for penetration. They decided to try with increased dosage( they told me 3 times dosage from first injection). After waiting..results were better but marginal. Approx 50 percent hardness. The second injection was given by a new male employee. From the blood mark I saw after the injection..it was almost to the top surface of the penis. I have driven one hour since then..pretty strong pain in penis and surrounding area. While he was injecting I felt a sharp pain( didn't feel in the earlier three IC injections so far). I am sitting at my office with an ice pack on penis to reduce pain.

I am thinking of seeing an Urologist. This clinic has family physicians(once per week), not urologists.
The penis is swollen right now..though pain is coming down.

Any thoughts/advice will be appreciated.

P.S : I have had underlying general anxiety for many years ..from childhood I guess.
There is a list of blood work advised, yet to to them.

Now that I am thinking of going to an urologist..may be wait for his recommended tests.

IMHO, I'd say to see an urologist. But first, if you're interested in injections, call a compounding pharmacy that does the mix and ask for a list of urologists that prescribe the stuff. Not all urologists do the injections, at least not other than Edex, etc. You don't want to go through the time and expense of seeing a urologist only to find out he doesn't do the stuff.

Sounds like the last tech at the clinic didn't know how to do shots.

Thank you for feedback.

Not sure if anyone here knows good Urologists in Toronto.

I forgot to mention ..I have dermal fillers in my penis. That might have caused the fourth time not to penetrate all the way to corpora.
