Hello guys,

Here is a new update of my situation. I had a big trouble and a lot of discussions with my healthy insurance but now they finally confirmed me that they will pay the costs of my implant.I live in switzerland but i could do the operation in ALL (!) countrys in europe!

For me its really important to go to a good expert with lot of experience in implant operations and to not loose penis size (maybe i need the AMS implant?).

Until now people recommend me these doctors:

Dr Ralph in London and Dr Osmonov in Germany.

Do you have any other good recommendations?

Wish you all best!

Dr. Eid gave me this advice:

"Choose a surgeon in love with his craft." He went on to say, that such a surgeon will put the patient's outcome above all other considerations.

I also advise finding a surgeon who will hear your concerns, desires and opinions and will include you as part of the medical team for evaluating choices and making decisions. Before any Doctor can put a patient's welfare above all else, the Doctor must truly know what that welfare entails.

You don't need a big reputation, but having done a large number of implants does help.

Ask if any of his former patients will talk to you privately. Most Doctors will not reveal their names to you, but you can ask if the Surgeon will share your contact information with them.

Good luck.

Thank you!

Does anybody know if Dr. Ralph in London implants the LGX? Seems to be the best for length and girth.

Or Maybe some doctor in Germany?

Mr Ralph certainly used to use the AMS LGX. Read the blog at http://rugbydave.blogspot.com/ a detailed account by Rugby Dave who was implanted some 4 years ago. He seems very happy with the result.

guyinthedarkness wrote:(Edited for focus) the LGX? Seems to be the best for length and girth.

Neither (of the two major manufacturers') device are "best" for either length or girth. What is best for those parameters is WHAT FITS YOUR BODY.

There are general characteristics of the devices. For example, the Coloplast Titan is said to be girthier than the AMS products and is available in longer lengths. But if your penis is better fitted with the AMS, which is "best" for YOU?

I advise: Discuss in depth with your doctor/surgeon and if he or she is not willing (or unable) to give you satisfactory answers, find another surgeon. Of course, surgeons are not known for being communicative (the nature of their specialty), you will have to use your judgement whether or not to trust your choice of surgeon.

I agree 100%. A doctor that only deals with one brand is not benefitting the patient. Humans are all different and our anatomy is not all the same. Personally, if a doctor asked me what brand I wanted, I would be looking for a doctor that had my best interests at heart. It shouldn't matter what I want, it should matter what the SPECIALIST says I NEED. :)

Just received a Coloplast 3 piece from Dr. Perito in Miami on April 3rd. I'm in late 30's but he said he has implanted as young as 21. I did a lot of research and I believe he is one of if not the very best. His website is very informative with "Meet the Penis videos".

I used my urologist. Insurance covered it.
