Just went through 3 months of Gainswave treatment

Postby Rockstar68 » Mon Mar 18, 2019 2:03 pm

Just thought I would share my journey.

I'm not sure if my case is extreme or not. But I've had type 2 diabetes related ED for about 7 years, meaning I haven't had an erection in 7 years. 10 years before that, I could perform well with viagra, cialis, etc. I started trimix 7 years ago and thats when the problems started. Botched injections and peyronies ensued. I've lost at least 3 inches in length and a ton of girth.

I've been to the urologist and they approved an implant through the VA. Haven't had the procedure yet. I've read up on fibrosis and plaque and it seemed to be what i had, because of the bad trimix injections. Went to a men's clinic and had a meeting about Gainswave treatments. I was skeptical, but I thought it was worth it if I didn't need to have the surgery.

Fast forward 3 months, zero results. I had 16 treatments spread out over that time, it hurt like hell. But, I saw zero growth, no morning erections, no improvement whatsover. I told the nurse that i was skeptical since the start and she said "don't worry, eventually you will see results". Well, that was 3 months ago. I'm 5,000 dollars poorer and not one iota of improvement.

I know that YMMV with such endeavours, but my treatment was shite. In my opinion, don't try Gainswave.

I'm at the point where the only two options left for me are Gainswave or an implant. Hoping for a non-surgical cure, I have done a great deal of research into Gainswave. The clinics themselves will tell you that they have about a 70% success rate. In other words, it doesn't work for everyone. However, what they don't say and what seems to be coming to light as more and more time passes is that even in the cases that have complete success, it doesn't last. There are starting to be many reports of men successfully completing treatment only to have to go back for more treatments anywhere from a few months to two years later. And in some cases, further treatments don't work the second time. And there are now suggestions that wave treatment may actually damage the penis. It seems that the longer Gainswave is in use, the more questions there are to ask. Its nowhere near a proven treatment.
I've decided to pass.
Developed ED after Heart attack and by-pass in 2000. Used pills for years, but they don't work anymore. Shots don't work. Used a VED for several years. AMS 700 LGX installed 8-7-19.

Grayfox, I'm right where you are. It looks like its gonna be an implant. I'm not crazy about the idea, but I can tell that my erections are never coming back. I'm just a small, shrunken noodle...............haha.
.
I contacted Dr. Kramer today to start the process. Just waiting on VA approval

In my case I've never had any insurance that would cover treatment for ED. What little treatment I have had was all out of my own pocket. I've been waiting a long time for medicare so I can get some proper treatment.
Next month I turn 65! Medicare and supplemental insurances are already in place and just waiting on my birthday. I have an appointment with a Urologist 6 days later. I finally have a chance to do something serious about my ED.
I'm looking forward to it! :D

Initially, the VA approved me to have the surgery, then quickly rescinded. They told me I had to have the surgery at the VA in Augusta, GA. So I go to Augusta, and they won't perform the surgery.

so, yes, a big hassle. been fighting with them for 5 years to get approval again.

I have not heard of a single person that the Gainswave has helped. :)

I'm a witness, Gainswave claims to be patient and the results will come later. In the meanwhile, they're sucking you dry with additional options that "suppose" to help; fake Viagra, additional treatments, testosterone therapy, etc. All not covered by insurance. I admit, I signed up for the initial 6 treatments only be told later that if I really want to see results, I should sign up for 12. I designed it was another slam taking advantage of desperate and frustrated men suffering from ED. I decided to cut my losses at the 6.

The only good thing to come from my Gainswave therapy is it became the final straw! After that, I became determined to get an implant. Now, after getting my implant, I should have done it a long time ago. It's only been 3 1/2 months!!! One of my best decisions ever! Brothers, don't waste your time and money with Shockwave therapy. It's too expensive to be taking a chance!
