Climacturia, any solutions?

Postby JohnnyO » Tue Sep 04, 2018 11:49 am

I had a penile pump put in February 2018.
I couldn't be happier with that however I am a former cancer patient who had a prostatectomy surgery done in June 2014.
Since that time I have been experiencing Climacturia which occurs either during sex or in some cases just thinking about it.
This leakage is depressing and humiliating to say the least.
Any suggestions on how to overcome this issue?

Thank you very much

Johnny,
So sorry to hear. Only thing I can think of is the AMS artificial sphincter.
Wish you the best.

It's with reservations that i make this recommendation. I'm going to suggest a lot of solo work. A lot of solo work while also concentrating on restraining pee. You can even learn to climax while restraining. Initially it does detract from the orgasm but that seems to eventually pass. Of course there's the obvious suggestions to reduce fluid intake before intimacy and to void beforehand. These suggestions are not medical advice and are just based on my personal experiences. I apologize if you've already tried these suggestions.

Good luck!

Bob, is the AMS artificial sphincter a surgical procedure?
And if so how would that affect the penile pump that was inserted back in February?

Yes, it is an implant that squeezes the urethra shut. It works with a small bulb pump in the scrotum. I believe there are several guys here on FT that have both, a penile implant and an AUS -- I think it is the AMS 800, but not sure.
Maybe if you post something in General Discussion and/or Implants you'll get some responses from guys who know more.

Hi, I had a RALP in September 15, fortunately for me the incontinence cleared up within 3 months and I have been “dry” ever since, in fact I seem in better control post op than before….. With one major exception, I too suffer from climacturia both during sex and as JohnnyO says just thinking about it! Even a sensual cuddle with my lovely lady will cause a quick change of underwear.
Fortunately my lady is very understanding and we simply make sure that during sex we put an old folded towel under where any leakage might occur, with regard to the dribble in the pants when aroused I just deal with it as needed, normally I am at home as we tend not to get “fruity” when in public so it is easy to get changed but I do always keep a change of underwear in the car – just in case.

Unfortunately the climacturia has had one disappointing impact on my solo playtimes in that I have had to sell my Venus2000 pump, the climacturia combined with the powerful suction the V2k generates meant that at point of orgasm my bladder emptied like a fire hose on full blast (actually a very pleasant feeling for one who normally has a dry orgasm) which caused a proverbial Vesuvius of pee to erupt over the room.

Best Wishes Mike.
