Cialis for BPH

Postby wgs743 » Wed Aug 29, 2018 4:20 pm

My Urologist put me on Flomax and while it helps with urgent need to urinate, it ruined my sex life. See earlier post on Flomax issues. Went off Flomax and sex is great again, but urgency is back.
In doing search on the Internet I found that NIH and FDA approved Cialis 5mg for BPH. All the posts on Franktalk are about Cialis and Trimix, but not much on how it helps with BPH.
What are the experience of others using Cialis for BPH?
Cost is an issue. Thirty day supply runs around US$350 and I don't think insurance will cover it. Has anyone found a reliable source for Cialis in Canada? What cost?

Toviaz by Pfizer has been great for my urgency feelings. Has cut my need to pee from about 10 times a day to 5 and I get more sleep at night. Love it! Ask you doctor for some samples. Cialis didn't help me with that problem but then again I never took Cialis consistently everyday. Cialis also makes me feel crappy the day after I take it.

I have used Cialis for BPH and it does help some. However, taking it consistently every day makes me tired. The Cialis dose was 5 mg/day when I did this. I am now using 25 mg/day of Viagra taken just before bed time. This is not quite as effective for BPH-induced noctiuria but it doesn't make me nearly as tired

71 years old in 2018; married 49 years. ED since 2001. PD5 inhibitors (Viagra, etc.) worked with increasing dosages until side effects got too bad by 2017. Now using Trimix injections. Delayed ejaculation has been a continuing problem since 2012.

Most insurance plans limit the number of Cialis tablets they will cover per month when being given for ED, however, many will pay for daily Cialis if the physician indicates being given for BPH. It will usually require a prior authorization though.

Have moderate to severe BPH. Tried Uro-Lift procedure which made no difference, maybe even worse now. Uro doc has prescribed MYRBETRIQ which I will start tomorroww. Will update you in one week. Might look into TOVIAZ
