Cost: $8500 (All 700 series implants)

An AMS representative is in the operating suite during implantation. He/she is responsible for un-packaging the device and insuring proper implantation. If a device has failed, as in my case, the AMS representative recovers the explant and returns it to Boston Scientific where it is examined. A determination is made whether the mechanical failure is due to product malfunction/flaw or human error in construction of the device.
