Made a posting in the wrong forum, under Introductions.

But, are there any experiences with this gel? Is there any promising future with it?

There is a scientific study published in:

The Journal of Sexual Medicine
Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2018, Pages 167-175
Efficacy and Safety of MED2005, a Topical Glyceryl Trinitrate Formulation, in the Treatment of Erectile Dysfunction: A Randomized Crossover Study
https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jsxm.2017.12.003

This could also be useful to men with implants since the gel is applied to the glans

Goggle it!! Not released into the wild yet.

I think the "innovation" is how the active compound is quickly and almost totally absorbed into the penis. They claim it is a way to get NO into the penis quickly and effectively. It is applied topically not orally.

I take all the "newest and greatest" claims by drug companies with a huge grain of salt! I will not be the first in line for this when it is released commercially.

Glyceryl trinitrate is the same drug as nitroglycerin, used for angina and other heart conditions. This is the first I've heard of using it as a remedy for ED. If the gel is absorbed into the coporus cavernosum (that's a big if) it could theoretically increase nitric oxide (NO) levels in and around the penis helping to cause an erection. It is certainly a big if as to whether it could penetrate the skin as well as the tough covering of the corporus cavernosum and actually have some effect.

I have seen L-Arginine topical preparations that claim to do the same, but have little to no efficacy. However, if anyone finds anything seems to be somewhat conclusive, please post it for all of us to review.

I don't see how this would be helpful. The idea is to get the Corporus Cavernosum to fill with blood due to the increased NO. But, with an implant, isn't the CC replaced by the implant itself?

Thus, I would think that it would have minimal, if any effect.

This is posted in General Discussion. Not everyone posting on this board has an implant.
