(There is another discussion on letting women become members of FT in the General Discussions group. I sure with these two discussions could be combined so there won't be duplications.)

Its a great idea to have some section for women to post. After all, they affected by their men's ED too? Like to hear it from their perspectives. They could also learn a lot. Women are very interested when I tell them I inject. Always ask a lot of questions.

I didn't realize that there is a ban on women here.....seems like another border wall...….are men on here so insecure and have such low esteem that they are threatened by the opposite sex? (which btw, if it weren't for them we wouldn't need implants, cock rings, pumps, pills, herbal remedies, dick exercises, or even oysters for that matter)…..funny how we go out of our way to develop and invent all kinds of things just so that we can penetrate women, and yet they're not welcome here.....

I now realiize that's what's missing here, a woman's perspective and insight....without that, we're missing half of the story of our lives....quite honestly I can't tell you how many times I've checked in here only to quickly check out because how many times can you get into a "what underwear to wear" discussion.....we're missing out on a greater depth by having this ban, which actually goes against my core values....

I'm aware that this question has sparked debate in the past.

Count me as in favor of allowing women a place on this board. I say that without condemnation of those who feel differently, but I feel the change would be beneficial.

If FT moves in this direction, I'll count on the cumulative wisdom of members to define where, when and how.

What next ???

Are we going to be required to submit photos of our penis while holding an 8-1/2" × 11" sheet of paper with our username scrawled upon it in black permanent magic marker next to "IT" to "verify" our gender as they do with face photos on those FREE dating sites ?

The 2 current discussions regarding women on Frank Talk have been merged. Please do NOT create another post on this subject. There are already several. This website was created as a MEN ONLY site and will remain a men only site. There is absolutely nothing stopping anyone from creating a co-ed site but this is not.

I joined FT because I understood it was a men's only site. I love woman, have been married to one for 51 years, but there are things not to mention PICTURES :o that are about me, that are not for other woman to read or look at. As I have told my wife, "it's a guy thing", and I want it left that way. If this site is going to become co-ed then I will no longer participate, especially with pictures! First it was the Boy Scouts, now It's Frank Talk :?: Dose EVERYTHING have to be PC now days????

Who could you possibly be talking about that would do such a dastardly thing???

Just to clear things up, we are working on a site for women partners of men with ED. Right now, money is the issue as it always is. By the time we create a website with a discussion board and the features that we want it is not a cheap endeavor. No I do not do the websites myself.

The mission statement of the Erectile Dysfunction Foundation, which is what Franktalk is part of, is “To educate men about erectile dysfunction and help them find treatment or cure through education, support, advocacy, and research.” This mission statement is central to the ED Foundation. Franktalk is the support mechanism of this mission statement. Education is on its way – via ManAcademy. Frank talk provides a very valuable man-to-man support network which most men would never have in real life with real conversations.

Any sort of sexual dysfunction will affect the partner of the man involved. So of course ED affects women. But the site was created and remains the only site for men with ED. There are a few discussion boards buried in large websites which are about erectile dysfunction. My experience with them years ago was that they were mostly filled with women who were angry at the husbands were not doing anything about erectile dysfunction. Discussions quickly got off topic and became far more about relationships than about erectile dysfunction.

I frequently get women who write to me asking me how they can get their partner to do something about his GED. As I tell all of them this is the discussion they need to have with her partner not me and certainly not with the discussion board. And when men write to me and asking me about women I do suggest that they ask a woman not a discussion board.

While the relationship aspect of erectile dysfunction is a vital component and a serious component and ultimately the purpose of having a functioning body, that discussion is outside the scope of our mission statement. We are here to help men find a treatment that works for them. We are not a therapy site, a marriage site, or counseling site. There are tons of resources for those issues.

So this is a long-winded way of saying yes we hear you and we are in the process of making a sister site where women and men can talk to each other about sexual function issues. However the purpose of that site is outside the scope of the erectile dysfunction foundation. It is provided as simply a resource and a courtesy. Of course women read Franktalk. Most wives of the men here do not. The women who read Frank talk are generally the women who are looking for help for their husbands or partners.

In looking over this discussion I’m curious about the passion that comes out. As a therapist I would ask you to be curious about why feelings are so strong about this. It’s probably a symptom of different underlying issue.
