What is really interesting in this solution is that indeed it should be way less destructive and definitive, it should be just an add-on and no penis tissue would be removed to install it. Also it's way simpler than a penis implant, has less parts, no reservoirs and almost no mechanical aspects to it. A device like that could contract by simply applying voltage to it... So yeah, so far i've been holding off getting an implant hoping a tech just like that might become reality in my lifetime. Hitting 42 this year, i believe i still have time, even tho i am getting really annoyed with shitty injection results and diminishing returns, especially in a country where Trimix is not available.
You sound like you have a similar thought process to myself. I am also in my 40s and we definitely have time on our side. I really don't want something that is as destructive as the existing penile implant technology. On paper, something like this should cause less damage and be simpler.
The fact that this company already market this concept in other fields, indicates that it would not be too much of a jump to develop something in the field of ED.
Out of interest how long have you been following this for, as I have no idea how long it has been in development.
Yeah, the biggest downside for me with the current implants is that they are practically irreversible. If later on something better comes out, you most likely will never be able to use it. Then again, maybe nothing better will come out in our lifetimes... So it's a tough choice.
I am REALLY sick of injections, half-hards, cockrings, hit or miss, etc... and the fact that i can't get trimix or other custom made drug where i live only makes things worse. But, i really don't feel like jumping the gun with an implant.
As for the Implantica thing - can't really say how long i've been following it, maybe a few years since someone posted about it here and i went over to their site. TBH they never communicate about it. I am subscribed to their newsletter and they only talk about RefluxStop (i believe) being approved here and there, etc... I even contacted them directly with questions and someone responded that they can't provide more info and i should subscribe to their newsletter if i wanted to know more, eventually.
Kinda sucks :/ And also, even tho the concept of a controllable cock ring does seem interesting i have to admit i am pretty dubious about the actual effect. My thought is - it probably won't be any better than a classic cockring, and since using one doesn't provide an erection hard enough to penetrate... yeah. And simply in terms of mechanical possibility, if they made it "stronger" than external cockrings, it would cut off all blood from the penis and thus be dangerous.
I am not an expert, obviously, but unless they make it so it only constricts outflow and not inflow, and also only up to a point and not completely... it won't really work.
40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.
