It was said that large-scale studies would be published in May 2025 to show on a better scientific fundemant whether the Vertica device works (=is effective) or not.
I was surprised that they launched the device on the market with such a small sample size study.
Now a second, improved device has been launched — but there is still no sign of the announced study.
Or have I overseen it?
Does anyone have more information?

I checked with the nurse who oversaw the trial in my area and she said it would be finished in December. I don't have a lot of confidence.
I have an appointment in a couple of weeks with another urologist who is participating in the trial and I'll check with him.

According to this site
https://www.centerwatch.com/clinical-tr ... ment-of-ed
Some clinics are still recruiting. If so, we ain’t getting the results until at least June next year.

I wondered if the “recruiting” status of various clinics was perhaps out of date, and if all participants had in fact completed the trial.
So I contacted one of the clinics, and they confirmed that they are still recruiting.
As the follow-ups are done for 6 months after initiation of therapy, I think we are looking at over 7 months for the data collection to be complete, and about a year after that for the data to be processed and for conclusions to be published.
So maybe some time in 2027 will we get the results.
I’m thinking I might just buy one now. They’re 25% off at the moment.

That seems reasonable but Ohh-Med must be panicking over being shut out of the American market that long.

I bought one. I’ll probably make a thread with a review of it at some point.

Arrived today. Used it for the first time. It’s actually quite easy to use when you get the knack for it.
Something I noticed is that the burning sensation (which is very painful) is due to conductivity into the penis via a small surface area. My theory is that by having all of the RF energy transmitted via a small amount of skin causes it to heat up far more than it should. The burning sensation occurs on the node that has the worst conductivity, which causes a localised and unilateral burning sensation, rather than it uniformly causing the sensation throughout all of the nodes.
TENS machines do the same thing. If my TENS doesn’t have good contact, all of the electrical charge goes into a single point of contact, and it feels like a bee sting.
My solution is to smush my penis into the Vertica. This helps maintain a good contact, and I experience no painful sensations.
This makes me think that people who use it without the smushing technique have to resort to lower energy levels, which may lower the efficacy.
The downside to the smushing technique is that it may turn concentrated energy delivery into diffuse energy delivery, which may not heat tissues enough. It’s not well explained in the manual (which has spelling mistakes lol), but the “wave” indicator will intermittently turn off when it detects your skin is getting hot. So instead of moving the device every 30s, I wait until it says my skin is too hot.
The perineal pad is also a fucking nightmare to keep in position. So I often have to hold that in by hand.
I know I shouldn’t be freestyling the technique, and I should really listen to the manual written in broken English, but fuck it lol.
