Titan left cylinder has eroded into the urethra

Postby pumpitup » Thu Oct 23, 2025 8:03 am

I have been suffering some pain at the tip, not severe, I had a script for Cephalexin 500mg x 2 daily been taking for a week, saw the Dr today, he said the left cylinder has eroded into the ureter and has to come out, he said he will remove the left cylinder and leave the right. When I asked about having another one implanted at a later date he appeared reluctant and said we will just worry this first. how frigging deformed will my penis look with only having one cylinder, I am so angry, if I had done something I would say it is my fault. I haven't had a root or a wank the only thing I can think of that may have led to this I have been going to the Gym, one of the things I have been doing was back raisers which put a lot of pressure on the front of my pelvic region, can't think of anything else. Operation booked for next Thursday. Will tell you how it went.no pun intended when I come home, with only half a dick.

Sorry this has happened.

It’s good this is being taken care of before the entire implant is infected.

Take it a step at a time. Get this cylinder out so the repair to your corpora/urethra can be made and you can heal.

Once you have healed you can pursue revision surgery. If this particular surgeon is hesitant, seek out a second opinion. Dr Love in Melbourne has a great reputation. It would require a flight, but could be worth the hassle. And there may be surgeons closer to you (or your original surgeon) that will do it.

Hang in there. Just focus on the next right action. You’ll get through this and be back in the saddle again.

Geeeez. Sorry for this event pumpitup
I assume your doctor did some imaging to come up with this diagnosis!? It sounds like too big of implication on that side,
Goodwood offered the best solution, if your doc doesn’t come up with a solution, seek out a better doc. I suspect hes got a too big tube in that side or the tip was defective
Good luck, this is a new issue on our site so please keep us informed.
Hugs

pumpitup, good advice from GoodWood. There are surgeons who focus on reconstructive surgery -- you may want to add this to your criteria for selecting a Dr for your revision. Best wishes for navigating this difficult problem !

Thats bad news and I can't understand for the life of me why people resort to penile implants. Who seriously wants bits of inflatable plastic inserted into their penis? You are just transforming your penis into a dildo. You may as well wear an external prosthetic like a strap on dildo.

I am 45 now and am holding out for something better than this nonsense. I predict in the next 20 years there will be advancements in embolization. A blow up plastic penis is not for me.

You are 45. Haven’t been able to have successful penetrating sex ever. And your plan is to cross your fingers and hope you can START to have dependable erections when you are 65.

I’ll take advice about sex for someone else.

So sorry that this has happened to you pumpitup. Maybe you will need to heal first but surely there must be a solution to restore your implant, such as a full revision? I have read that they sometimes replace a failed implant with a "salvage" malleable in cases similar to yours, then eventually replace that with an IPP. I agree with the other guys, if you don't get satisfactory answers then consult other specialist implant urologists. I'm sure someone will be able to help you. If you don't have good options locally (I'm assuming Brisbane if you're on the Sunshine Coast), then as GoodWood said Dr Chris Love in Melbourne is highly regarded if you're happy to fly down there.

Hi Good Wood, thank you for your rational comments, I was very emotional when I wrote my post the other night. I am coming to terms with what has happened and what has to take place. I have been very happy with my Titan, but I think the left cylinder was originally over sized, it was about 1cm longer than the right side. I was happy with it as it made my penis look bigger. The surgeon originally told me he used 22cm plus 1 rear tip extender, I did not know which side the extender was on but now I think it must have been the left. What has surprised me is the lack of pain I have been feeling as it has been rubbing through my urethra, I have had mild pain, hence I wasn't that worried. When the surgeon looked at it, he pulled the orifice open and said there you can see the implant tip in there, he held it open and asked me to have a look. Now I just hope that I get through the surgery next week with no more complications, can't say I am looking forward to it. Thanks to you all for your comments. Linds.

Yes the situation sucks, but you guys are kidding yourselves. You are not restoring natural biology. You are simply implanting bits of inflatable plastic into your penis and pumping it up; effectively transforming it into an inflatable dildo. Its a bit of a joke and definitely not the outcome I want.
