testosterone

Postby rsmith4259 » Mon Jul 14, 2014 1:04 pm

Been a while since I have posted here. It will be 5 years Dec 16, 2009 when I had the DaVinci RP. 35 pounds later, incontinence surgery, penile implant (pump, shots, ect. did not work)....Hopefully, in Dec 2014 I will be able to start testosterone therapy. Any advice from you guys? I stay continually tired, even though I workout daily. No confidence with the implant. Still feel pretty bitter about the whole process. I will be 59 In Nov.

I have been on "T" therpy for @ 2yrs. and not getting results I hoped for. I may start the shot for it in @ 1mo.
The cream I have been using was locally formulated. I have tried Androgel and Axiorn but they didn't absorb either.
The shot will cost $95. a stick that is with insurance using cypionate.

I used to get 4 loaded syringes at my docs for $70.

I was at my compounding pharmacy getting tri-mix and mentioned that to them.
They recommended getting a vial of it and fill my own syringes and self inject. The cost is $60 for a vial that gives 24 or 25 injections. I buy my own needles and syringes online and use them. If you have an understanding doctor (good luck with that), you can get a prescription for a vial.
My FORMER doctor refused to go along with that.

By the way, I also complained about weakness and depression and the weakness went away and I actually have more strength.
I do have some depression, but it's probably family related.

On using cypionate, did you gain weight from this?

Thanks.

No weight gain, but I gained some muscle.
I know T isn't a panacea, but what the hell?
My new doc noted that I lost a couple pounds recently and I told him that I always lose weight in summer in Phoenix.

I had good results with Testim and Androgel. They boosted my T from 280 to over 800 and improved my libido. Unfortunately, it did nothing for my ED. So when my PSA started to rise after a year of TRT, I decided to discontinue its use.

I have low testosterone due to diabetes and also physical trauma to my testicles due to an injury. I get depo-testosterone 100 mg every 2 weeks. it is a shot in the ass

haven't noticed a big effect on my libido, but it makes my moods a lot more stable. i just feel more like myself. i've been on it for 4 years
