i included a quote from budward from another thread so instead of replying to it and it being buried in a general weight loss thread i thought i would start a new thread for comments/reviews/thoughts on ozempic
thanks

Like you, I became overweight, mostly through not working out and drinking too much alcohol. The pandemic really helped me pack on the pounds. Pills stopped working about 8 years ago and had stopped my Androgel regime. Big mistake, but my supplier was in the Caribbean and he stopped selling.
Fast forward to September of 23 and started on Ozempic. I stopped drinking but didnt change anything else. I lost 35lb in 3 months.
I am still losing weight and have been able to get into some old Robert Graham shirts that were to small for me. Now they hang lose.

Now I am finding out more and more benefits of being on Ozempic, much lower stroke rates, less heart disease, fights against Alzheimers and other things. I love the stuff.
Also started back on Androgel at the same time I started the O.

I have now been on Ozempic since September 23 and I have now lost 75lb. I am going to lose another 10lb and then stabilize. Articles are now saying that micro-dosing Ozempic actually speeds up the weight loss cycle so will be starting that on my next pen. Will be nice to cut the expense in half as the Ozempic, Androgel and daily cialis are costing 600 a month. I have already ti-rated the Androgel to last two months and will cut out the cialis until I come into some money.
I just read a negative post about O here and I have to say being 75lb lighter starting on Trimix and having a gorgeous wife who looks like the hottest porn star really does help with my "new" life. I am healthier than ever and my BP is on low side of normal.

My wife has used Ozempic for over a year and has lost over 45 pounds. However, several days after the injection she experiences severe nausea, sometime vomiting.

A lot of us are starting to tirate our mixture, taking half a dose instead of a full one. Benefits are that your super expensive (and why) Ozempic costs you half as much and the effects of nausea are not as exaggerated.
18 clicks on the pen gives you have a dose.

I was using the click method but I find it easier to just do the math to figure units per mg and then use a 1ml insulin syringe. I treat the cartridge like a regular vial and draw out where the little pin needle would go. No need to push air in first as the interior stopper, that the spring pushes down to administer the dose when you use the cartridge normally, just gets sucked down as you draw out your dose. You have to do the math for each cartridge size as the concentration is different for each size. Once figured out you can adjust your dose to any amount you want.

This obviously isn't an approved method, although my doctor accepted it once I explained it and she double checked my math. But don't do this as it's obviously not an approved method of doing it.

I started using a compounded Semaglutide sublingual solution about 5 weeks ago.
It's a daily dose that you hold under your tongue for 10 minutes.
I started out on 1mg/day, and upped it to 2mg the second month.

I haven't lost any measurable weight yet, but I do notice less of an urge to snack between meals, and my tendency to overeat seems to be a bit less.

Next month I'll go up to 3ng, which is the usual max dose. Hopefully I'll see some real results soon.

The first month at 1mg was $165, with the second month, 2mg dose being around $235. I think the final dosage will run about $300/month.

The retail cost for the brand name stuff is 3 or 4 times that.
I wish I knew where you guys are getting the injections for $300. :o
