She's been using a hormone cream for a couple years now, but it doesn't seem to help.
I think she has to WANT it to help for it to work.

Hormone creams are hit and miss for many women, definitely a miss at our house and very disappointing as hopes were hi on my part. Like Big Dave said part of the equation is WANT to have intimacy and sex.
