Questions About Turp

Hi guys, my urologist is recommending TURP for an enlarged prostate. Has anyone had one in the last 5 or so years? How was it? Has it been successful for alleviating urinary symptoms? How about side effects like incontinence and leaking?

I'm also worried about retrograde ejaculation. Obviously there's a quality of life issue, but I'm really hesitant about this. Any guys have experience with this? How do you experience it and how do your partners feel about it or react? Medication isn't working and it's sounding like there's not really another option on the table in terms of intervention.
