Recovering from Untreated Ischemic Priapism

Postby Breakthrough » Mon May 19, 2025 7:18 pm

I posted about my unfortunate circumstances previously, and was focused on potential rehabilitation and recovery methods. I understand that the outlook is very poor for this condition but in lieu of a systemic comprehensive recovery. I wanted to know if anyone has had success recovering certain aspects and functions within the penile health. For instance, in addition to overall erectile dysfunction and lack of spontaneous erection, there is the reduction in vascularity, the reduction in sensitivity of the shaft, the reduction and functional tone and tissue density, etc. It’s clear that this altogether indicates a damaged if not deadened penis, but if any aspect is salvageable, then it will be worth pursuing independently. I’d also like to know about any cutting edge urologist or stem cell clinics that apply advanced technologies, such as hydrogels or oxygenated scaffolding or matrices in conjunction with stem cells. I know I should come in to grips with the idea of an implant but I need to exhaust all options first.

Also if anyone has dealt with an untreated priapism it would be nice to share your account here. I understand this is a rare condition and for that reason there is little info about it.

I would note that I am now four months removed from the ischemic event so recovery outlooks are worse. But for what it’s worth, I am still achieving erections with Cialis and stimulation.

Don't do any of those treatments. They're experimental and can harm you.
I wanted to get a Doppler to see if I had a venous duct. I got priapism for three hours and had to be drained.
Take 100mg Viagra to masturbate. That's the only thing that helped me.
I wish you luck in your recovery and I'll be happy to help you.

I got an MRI to avoid the injection needed for Doppler. I’m awaiting the results around the damage. I’m seeking any interventions that have merit because it doesn’t get much worse than being completely dysfunctional. I wouldn’t want to compromise my ability to at least settle for an implant but I also see that as a last resort.

Have you not gotten an implant? If not then what’s m keeping you from getting one? Have you tried any interventions to try to get better or did you just immediately accept that you wouldn’t ever get better no matter why’s you tried

No treatment works; you can only trust your body. Anything you do will make you worse.
I thought I'd never have sex again, and I'm fucking with 100 milligrams of Viagra. Be patient and find a girl who will be with you and help you.

I hear your man. But science (pills) got me into this mess so I am hoping it can get me out. But you are very right and that you never think things can get worse and they do.
