Anyone got worse erections after a vasectomy

Postby ScrewedbyDoctors » Tue Jul 26, 2022 6:31 pm

When I was 35 years old I got a vasectomy, few months after the procedure I started to develop ED, fatigue, softer testicles. Did anyone here got side effects after the vasectomy?
I had a trauma 2 years ago, caused me narrowing, dent and shortening. PRP injections three months ago=worse narrowing, and worse ED. Now I only have two choices: impotent or implant. Born in 1975, in a relationship with girlfriend fir 4 years

None whatsoever. Done at age 30.
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

Had my vasectomy at 39. ED started at 55. No change in my erections until ED.

Yes, my ED started soon after a vas. But several doctors have since said that wouldn't cause ED, mine likely by veinous leak. I still wonder, though. So, I'm with you, brother.
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

I got a vasectomy about fifty-five years ago. That's right, 55. Never had a problem. Best thing I ever did. No way was I going to condemn my then-wife to birth control pills. I believe anyone who says vasectomy is causing a sex problem is just experiencing a mental block.

FYI, ED arrived about 25 or so years ago. I had been a very, very heavy smoker. That was pre-Viagra era. Fortuitously, local urologist practice was doing cutting edge work with injections. Problem solved.

FYI, I recall clearly him saying smoking is the number one cause of physically-caused ED (other than disease, like diabetes). I have told my smoker friends this for years. Unfortunately, primary care physicians don't volunteer this tid-bit unless ED has already begun!

Have the injections been a long-term solution for you?

To answer your question.....Used injections for about ten years. Worked great. Ultimately had to start pills and patronize AMPs as refrigeration requirements conflicted with then-current household arrangements. Am about to start again. 30/3/130. We'll see. (I have no recall of dosages from before except that I never had any complication and don't even recall making formula changes.). So, point is, vasectomy was a non-event, except making it possible to live condom-free all these years.

If that 30/3/130 is per ml then I suspect you did go through some formula changes because that would be a pretty kick ass formula. Could that formula be per 5ml or 10ml?

After 5 pregnancies in 6 years,..my vasectomy was a welcoming experience..it did not cause ED..just the opposite actually. I knew there was no danger OF pregnancy and I stayed boned..until heath issues caused ED to rear it's ugly head! I hope things get better for you!
Medically retired. Due to very bad back issues..multiple surgeries. Implanted pain infusion system on long term opiodal meds; hypogonadism and hypothyroid as a side effect from intrathecal pain infusion system. Use low dose generic V
