Hi all,
Quick question--I understand Peyronies Disease for the most part, but I'm not sure if what I have is the same. I've seen pictures of penises on here bent to the left and to the right. I've been taking Trimix injections and I noticed that my dick looks like it is starting to curve up. It's like the shaft, which isn't long, goes out, but closer to the glans it starts curving up. It doesn't hurt, but I'm worried that Trimix might be causing this. Would this still be Peyronies? I know it may sound stupid to ask, but I'm not sure.

Re: Bent up?
The mechanism for PD is misunderstood. Some doctors say that injections "may" have potential for contributing to the development of plaque(s) but again, there isn't any certainty. PD can just happen, no rhyme or reason - I woke up one day and hopped in the shower with my wife and we started playing around - she went down on me and stopped to say "I don't know if you know this, but you are REALLY bent" When I looked at it I couldnt believe what I saw. No pain at first, then the pain hit me a few weeks later and lasted for about 8 months before it stabilized. If you notice it continue, not a bad idea to get checked out. There are some intervention meds like pentoxifylline combined with cialis that may help keep the bend from getting out of hand (assuming its PD), but your doc would be the one to give you the true scoop. Keep us in the loop with what you find out.

Re: Bent up?
Thank you for the insight. I'm not sure if what I have is PD, but I am going to talk with my doctor at my next appointment just in case. I'm hoping he understands when I explain how the tip curves up; it doesn't curve left or right. I haven't used Trimix a lot. I've had a few problems when using Trimix -- For example, once I not only got hurt and bruised badly, my dick pointed completely sideways so it was going against the top of my leg pointing to the side. I'm just hoping what I see is nothing major.

Re: Bent up?
I started using Trimix and the exact same thing happened to me. I am 66 years old and as soon as I started using it, I was in love with it because it really worked well for me, then I started to notice the bend. The Trimix would make my erection so hard for so long that it would actually start to hurt my penis. I don’t know if you experienced the same thing. Perhaps it was that extended rigidness that caused the Peyronie’s disease. I mainly injected at the base of my penis at a 10 or 2 o’clock position. I was thinking the exact same thing as you. Did the trimix cause my Peyronie’s disease. Like you, my penis bends up but it starts the bend towards the glans. This was never an issue for me before I started shooting Tri Mix. My penis was as straight as an arrow before Trimix. Just FYI, I was injecting once a week for about 6 months before I noticed a bend. I can’t say for sure, but I am very suspicious that it was the injections that did it. I went 66 years without Peyronie’s disease and then six months after I start injecting, I get it. Coincidence, I think not. If your penis is starting to bend up, you almost certainly have Peyronie’s disease. You can do a self examination and feel the top of your penile shaft. See if it has a tight gristle like strip, running lengthways on top of your penis. That is plaque. That is what I noticed as different about my penis. I went to a urologist and had the diagnosis confirmed. The other thing to check is have you lost some length and girth? That is also very common with Peyronie’s disease. Another FYI, I noticed it for a while until I said something to my wife. She had noticed it too, but she didn’t want to say anything to me because she didn’t want to hurt my feelings. My wife is very understanding and we are approaching this issue together. Honest communication is very important. Let me know if you want some more advice on what to do because I am starting my treatment soon. If you are considering Xiaflex, you have to be very careful what urologist you choose to inject it. Xiaflex is no joke and if it is not injected correctly, it is a complete waste of time and you can be damaged. It is also extremely expensive. It cost about $5500 per shot and you need four sessions with two shots in each session so your Talking about $44000. I am on Medicare and it will cover it.

Re: Bent up?
SLC3755, Thank you for the information. It is helpful to hear that someone else has dealt with the upward curve. It's not to the left or right, and everything over looked up shows the sideways curve. My curve isn't too bad, but I worry it'll get worse. I did Trimix for awhile a bit over 1.5 years ago ... then I started it again at the start of 2025 because doctor wanted me to try again before any implant discussion. I don't inject often. First time around, I hated the shot. I messed it up a handful of times. It airways hurt, and once I stayed hard about 4 hours and was very bruised. I now have an autoinjector to help. It works better but I still haven't gotten the dosing amount just right yet. I'll look and try to find plaque if there is any.
I always try to inject at 10 and 2. I had prostate cancer in 2021 and had prostate removed. ED began then. Almost 4 years of only very sporadic boners. Thank you for info on Xiaflex

Re: Bent up?
My experience and timeline were much like SLC’s
Around 6-8 months I developed small knot on the top of my penis right at the circumcision scar. By 12-16 months I had a straight upward curve of about 40°. After a while it didnt hurt but it also started the hinge on the top. So if you tried to straighten downward it wouldnt bend but if I bent it upward it would bend back about 100° It was at that time that I researched implants and decided to go that way. There was a significant amount of plaque built up on the top of my penis by the time I went in for surgery.
So yes you can bend upward.

Re: Bent up?
Bent Ben, thank you also for your info. I seriously didn't realize that PD could make it bend up. It's helpful to hear from you guys. Getting this firsthand knowledge is great to help me understand and to know what to discuss with my doctor.
