Peyronies - Grieving the loss of my best friend.

This is for the guys who experience an onset of curving or bending of their penis. PD is a frustrating condition which often creates significant emotional and mental distress. It overlaps several other sexual function conditions.

Peyronies - Grieving the loss of my best friend.

Postby sogwap » Thu Apr 11, 2024 11:03 pm

It has been said that over 50% of men with Peyronies also suffer with depression.

I developed Peyronies Disease (PD) 14 months ago.
Seemingly overnight I lost my best friend. I lost length, and girth and had a noticeable curve.

No wonder most men with PD suffer with depression.
Many men have physical pain either flaccid or often erect. (Thankfully I never had any pain associated with my PD)
Most men with PD, lose length, girth, or both. Losing an inch or more in length or girth is not uncommon.
Most men have penile curvature ranging from 15 to as much as 70-100 degree curvature.
Some men develop ED as a result of Peyronies.

Because of the size loss sex is often difficult.
Because of the curvature many find sex impossible or very difficult. Resulting in pain for the man or his partner. (personally, I am still able to have sex, but it is very limited because of the size loss)

I lost interest in masturbation, As my penis feels quite foreign. The size loss feels noticeably different when stroking and the curvature make my penis feel like it's broken.
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.
Feb 2023 developed PD

I can attest to this thesis. I cant say I was depressed, maybe whoas me but not depressed. I did lose length and girth. I was 6.25l x 6.375g now 7 month today I am 5.5 x 5.875. (At 1 month I was 4.75 x 5.5 so Im growing) My wife actually prefers my new girth and says she cant tell any difference in length.
I was determined to not get down and to fightback. While my natural erection and penis were preferable (size, no dog ears, no discomfort from the cylinders rubbing inside my flesh) my new implanted penis has its upsides. Rock hard on demand erections that last until I want to be done, better performance because Im not concerned about losing my erection, long lasting sex without premature ejaculation and a large flaccid penis that doesnt make me embarrassed to use urinals and troughs in front of others.
If you have PD and or ED dont sit around moping, get over it and find solutions. Im glad I did and would do it again in a heartbeat

I was depressed for a year after PD set in. I lost substantial length and a little girth. Minor ED became significant ED. The upward curve causes “ folding” unless I am at 100% erectile rigidity. The curve and length loss makes sex less satisfying. ( although at the risk of contradicting myself, several women have cum like crazy during sex because I now hit the ceiling of the vagina…ie G spot). Over several years my curve has reduced and I have regained some size. Once I read about PD-related depression, I began to realize what was happening and was much improved. I switched to Trimix injections to avoid the higher doses of sildalifil.

To mitigate the sexual problems my wife and I have really gotten in to dildos and other toys, not to mention more oral. I’ve also recently added a new 58 year old Asian plaything on the side that prefers smaller penises.

All in all I wouldn’t wish PD on my worst enemy, but with a few adjustments I’ve made things work. If things go south there is always the nuclear option(implant)

Cheers.

More to my prior note;

My Uro failed to warn me about PD-related depression. I really wish he had. He also strongly disagreed that the Peyroines caused or worsened my ED. I ended up firing him and am now seeing a Much more sympathetic one.

Gives me some real hope, I've lost a bunch of length to be smaller than ideal now although I think I still sit around lower average. I can't exactly measure properly due to curve.

I am on the waiting list to be implanted. Still get to choose between titan and AMX. Doc says my girth will be noticeably bigger, I believe they said could even be 2x what I am now. So even with a smaller than my natural size in length the girth might make up for it, I hear the ladies appreciate some girth.

Did you regain that length from 4.7 to 5.5 AFTER being implanted whilst cycling?
