Starting Shockwave

I had an initial consultation on Tuesday and began the treatment on Thursday. The plan is to do one session per week for six weeks, with a one week break in the middle. The machine is the Storz Duolith SD-1, which as far as I know, is the only Li-ESWT device approved for the USA. The protocol is a burst of 300 on the perineum then four bursts along the left and four on the right. The first session is at a strength of 20 which was a little tingly but not painful. We'll go to 25 next week.

From my research, and affirmed by the Urologist, I should be an ideal candidate. We shall see. I classify my ED as mild/moderate and I usually respond to Sildenafil. I'm going to continue pumping regularly to keep the blood flowing. I'm also evaluating PRP as a future modality after the results of the ESWT are understood.

Dozens of posts over the years warning guys about wasting money on Shockwave therapy and yet they still line up to hand over their money. Someone a while back described Shockwave clinics as snake oil salesmen.

At the same time there are ED pills on the market that stop working after a few years. There are also injections that create scarring to the dick. And dozens of "ED supplements" that don't do anything. And finally there are implants that make your dick smaller and you have to change to a new one after 10 years of usage.
