Is shockwave and Prp working??

One of the newer treatments for ED, Shock Wave Therapy is still in it's experimental stages. While the treatment often sounds promising, it is only effective for a few patients and the results are not permanent. Informed Consumers are the best patients!

Postby Ykapoor741 » Sat Nov 29, 2025 3:06 am

But its been more than 90hrs and i am getting erections very good ones

The tadalafil has a half-life of about 18 hours. It's generally considered effective for 36 hours, so I doubt that the result you're seeing is from the tadalafil. You'll get responses here that denigrate any possibility that shockwave is working, but my opinion is "maybe".

Did you get real focused shockwave? If so, there are qualified researchers who think it might have helped, especially if you started with mild to moderate ED. If it was radial shockwave, something like Gainswave, then you wasted your money. What was the make and model of the machine? Did the doctor apply numbing cream for the application?

It was focused shockwave LIESWT power was 150 and 300 at someplaces
Erections were there for 120 hrs then it diminished
Idk whats happening
My 4th shockwave was around 10 days back
Prp 27 days back

Any idea when the effects of prp start again??

I am not a shockwave expert, but I don't think 120 hours of good erections could be attributable to the shockwave treatment. The idea, as I understand it, is that the shocks damage the tissue which causes regeneration. This is not a short term process; results, if any, would be over a longer period.

Shockwave and PRP work great at lining the pockets of the providers who do the treatments. They don’t seem to be particularly effective for anything else.

If they worked there would be a ton of guys on here talking about how much they love shockwave and PRP (like the guys who use pills or shots or implants do). They’d be talking about how great their doc was (like the implant guys do). They’d be recommending specific providers or brands (the way…. I think you see the pattern here.)

But that’s not what happens.

Instead all the posts about shockwave and PRP are guys asking if it works. Hoping it works. Or they had it and MAYBE it is having an effect?? Maybe? Or they thought it had a mild effect but now they aren’t so sure.

I’m sure there will be other breakthroughs. There will be other developments in the treatment of ED. But it doesn’t look like shockwave and PRP are it.

Pills, shots, implants. That is what works so far.

I too tried Shockwave therapy about 5 years ago.

They promoted that it will fix ED for 85% of men.

Good enough odds to convince me or anyone else desperate to find a way to fix their ED.

Of course no warranty or money back if it doesnt work so the risk is all yours.

I signed up for a 6 treatment session block. After 5 sessions nothing. and I mean nothing changed so I started to voice my concerns to them. They agreed that by now most men show improvement, but it will come eventually, After my 6th session they threw in a free 7th. Still NOTHING.
So they said I probably just need a few more sessions, so they were trying to upsell me for even more. No friggin way.

I wish I could connect with other clients at the clinic to see their results. I bet its no where near 85%, if any at all.

Like good wood said.. if this actually worked we would all be doing it and it would be the best cure for our problem. A non surgical fix, no drugs, no pain, just a wand thats rubs your member a few times.

I actually feel stupid for falling for this schtick, but I was desperate, as I am sure most posters on this thread here are.
56, Mild ED started 20 years ago, Pills very effective for first 12 years. Then High Blood Pressure made ED much worse. Pills inconsistent now. Dont like needles. Planning IPP now, probably Rigicon Infla10 AX, to be done overseas.

I may be in the minority, but I’ve done shockwave three times over the last seven years, and it has had a very strong positive effect each time. I did about six or seven sessions each time. I think a lot depends on the type of machine and the doctor utilizing it. Even my doctor would agree that it is not meant for severe cases and is much more effective with mild ED. He does not use on patents with diabetes, nerve damage, severe atherosclerosis etc

So there you go. One positive review out of many negative ones.
