Does anyone have personal experience where they have solved this issue by abstaining from masturbation?
As someone who is a compulsive masturbator (...I know we all go through similar things here but it still feels a little humiliating putting it into words..) I often wonder if that is preventing me from orgasming during sex. I know many people regard the whole NoFap agenda as being a bit misguided, but is there any truth to it that abstaining from it altogether, or at least reducing it will actually help?
I know that everyone is different so of course things work for some people that wont help others, but I am just curious if anyone was suffering anorgasmia, then backed off the porn and masturbation and found that their problem went away?

Re: Masturbation
It is usually easier to orgasm alone because you are not being put on the spot. In my case, if someone asks me to cum or I get the impression they are waiting for it, it's not happening.
Sometimes it helps to fake my orgasm (yes, men can do it too) and then continue as if it is the second time. It takes the pressure off.

Never feel humiliated for admitting you wank off. I think we all do to various degrees, when I was younger I would wank up to 5 times a day. If I have sex with my wife on a Sunday, I know it may be a week or two before the next session, then I will wank Monday and Tuesday as the desire is stlll there, but my wife is not.
Re: Masturbation
I think it can help if it's causing your drive to be diminished during time with your partner. For that reason I abstain. However, other than that I don't think it helps. Unless of course you're a chronic chikinchoker in which case you may be desensitizing your skin. In other words I don't think the nofap helps unless you're doing it excessively. It didn't help me. My issue is, I think, caused by a combination of age, RP nerve damage and injections. I also use the least injection juice as possible. That helps with the anorgasmia some.

Re: Masturbation
I think of my libido (desire as well as ability to orgasm) as a battery that recharges in time.
When I was 15 years old it recharged to 100% within hours of an orgasm.
As I’ve gotten older it’s taken longer to recharge to 100%. Now at 56 it takes 24-36 hours. I’m sure that time will increase as I continue to age.
But, like a battery, it can’t charge past 100%. So if I’m hoping to have a strong performance in the bedroom I’ll hold off from jacking of for a day or so before. But more than that doesn’t seem to make any difference.
The “no fap” movement has always seemed like the same old shaming around masturbation in new packaging. I let go of shame about masturbation. It’s really pleasurable, great for prostate health, great for mental health.
My perspective is that 99.9% of the time “compulsive masturbation” isn’t about masturbation. It’s usually about shame around masturbation. It can also be a coping mechanism related to depression or anxiety. The solution in those cases isn’t stopping masturbation, it’s letting go of the shame or treating the anxiety or depression.
But back to the question you asked: beyond about 24 hours or so, I don’t see any benefit in abstaining.

Yes lol My implant was damaged so I’m using cock rings and VED until my revision in February or march. Before the damage my implant was excellent. I refrained from masturbating and watching our videos and was able to finish in her pussy 12 out of the last 14 tries. So it works but it’s tough if you’re only getting it once or twice a week
I can’t come during a blowjob since before I was implanted in 10/21. I miss it but can’t relax enough and I masturbate nightly and watch videos we’ve made and take my time. My wife went from 10 minutes to about 4 and I begin to feel pressure and can’t gun. So I fake it because I don’t want her to get discouraged because she’s an excellent fellatrice. Then I work on a real one when the pressure is off I still have to get myself to the trigger point and she finishes me.
Thanks

Re: Masturbation
I've tried every trick in the book and some work, some don't. But the most helpful thing is to increase my refractory period. 2 days is usually a no-go. 3 days is possible with a lot of psychological stimulation. 4-5 days typically gives me a good chance.
Born 1954. Diabetes, hypertension and atherosclerosis. Sildenafil is iffy. Tri-Mix (30/3/20 Pap/Phen/PGE1) a godsend pending long-term efficacy. Daily Cialis. Tried LiESWT, Botox, PT-141, Eroxon, QST, DUS, Vertica, cabergoline, psychotherapy+hypnotherapy.
