As I posted earlier this year, Trimix really works well, the main problem being that it lasts for about 3 hours(which is better than no erection). My question for the group is if it is common to have a weaker or much less orgasm or not even one at all? I will have my PSA checked next week (2 years after my robotic prostrate surgury) and I will ask my doctor then but I wanted ask those of you out there about your experience with this issue.

I have fiound it harder to orgasm and it is not as strong as in prior years. Then, again, I am getting older. My wife has been suffering from bronchitis so we had to refrain from orgasmic sex for about two weeks. When we had our first orgasmic sex after the two week hiatus, the orgasim was back to where it was prior to taking Trimix, perhaps even stronger.

Hi trying72 - Your ability to orgasm is complelety unrelated to your ability to maintain/sustain good quality erections. Yes, they go together but
physilogically/neurogenically unrelated. Remember, really bad diabetics can orgasm without an erection. Now, don't be surprised by what you described.
There will be variation as you get older. This is normal. Biggest complaint I would hear from hundreds of patients all those years.....I can't shoot across the room anymore ! (hope this description does not offend anyone) but yes, this is just one but the most prominent. This is a normal occurrrence.

In my case, using tri-mix I was unable to orgasm at all. The sensitivity was reduced so much that defeated the entire purpose of having the injection in the first place.
My uro confirmed that reduced sensitivity with the injection is not unusual.

Yeah, I have heard from several men that using injections has reduced sensitivity for some reason. It's common enough to not be ignored. I usually have them focus on increasing stimulation through some other way. Sometimes it is through playing with nipples, pressure on perineum and for some men, anal stimulation. Many guys have added an aneros during sex and found it a huge help.
I would suggest try looking at this as being a stage...a change. Probably not permanent. So, enjoy the sensations, enjoy the intimacy, enjoy giving your partner pleasure and less focussed on having the orgasm the way you always have. Some men will make sure she is well taken care of, then masturbate to finish off. Or, if penetrative orgasm is really important to you, masturbate right to the point of orgasm, then insert and you should be close enough to the edge of the cliff to jump!
Use this as excuse to experiment and let some experiments fail! Some will succeed. Don't get bummed, stay positive.

I am 16 months past surgery. No orgasm with or without, I think there is a bit of new sensation but not very much. My thing is I cant see having an implant if theres not an orgasm. Penetration is not a big thing for my wife. She likes oral immensly as I can still get a " tongue-on."

Reduced or absent orgasms are very common after prostatectomy. This often gets forgotten in all the talk about erectile function. Most doctors don't know about it and won't talk about it, because there's not much that can be done for it. Sex can still be pleasurable if the sensation prior to the non-orgasm is good, but the lack of an orgasm is nevertheless disappointing. In my experience, it hasn't changed in the 2.5 years since my surgery. Don't know if that's true for everybody. There was a recent article about a drug called Dostinex (cabergoline) for this condition. The study was a rather poor quality one, IMHO, but since it's the only show in town, you might want to discuss it with your urologist. Endocrinologists actually would be more familiar with the drug since it's used to treat elevated prolactin levels due to pituitary tumors.
