Martin, there is a remedy to improve glans sensitivity from the effects of circumcision: it's to keep your glans in an environment as close to what nature intended as possible.
There are commercial products you can buy to cover your glans, but for me, I'm engaging in foreskin restoration, or the process of keeping tension on my shaft skin so that it expands to the point where it covers my glans like the factory original equipment would have. I'm not done yet, but the results do work. Look up "Foreskin Restoration" for more info.

I ran across an article.

https://www.sciencealert.com/here-s-wha ... you-orgasm

The 10th paragraph reads:
https://www.sciencealert.com/here-s-what-happens-to-your-brain-when-you-orgasm wrote:
10. In people who are unable to feel genital stimulation, the brain might actually remap itself to allow them to reach orgasm.

Though we usually think of orgasm and sexual pleasure as being dependent on the stimulation of our genitals, that's not entirely true. In some cases, the brain can create new pathways to pleasure that don't involve our sexual organs at all.

"When organs are injured or removed, remapping of the senses may occur allowing us to experience sexual and orgasmic sensations in other body parts," O'Rielly explained.

In people who have suffered lower body paralysis, for example, the brain might actually rewire itself in order to allow a person to achieve orgasm through stimulation of other body parts, such as the skin of the arm or the nipples.

As I read it, the upshot is that if you have reduced genital sensitivity, you might be able to improve your sexual response by building new neural pathways, synapses or whatever. Possible to do this if you practice stimulating other parts of your body related to your genitals, close to them or associated with sexual activity . Teach your brain new neural pathways. Engage your partner in these explorations. They may be fun simply by themselves (I think these might qualify for the term "foreplay" in a different context). You may find new joyous spots you never knew were there or possible.

So several of you guys posting got an orgasm after 11 or 12 months. Maybe there is hope for me. Looks like mother nature can fix my problem in her own sweet time. For now I just accept it and go on. 4 months post op.

pheobus25: Welcome to the forum. That's an interesting and new (to me) idea. There was an old forum post about glans "caps," to accomplish what we're after, but I haven't been able to find it. Now I see there are several glans creams on Amazon claimed to improve sensitivity; I'm applying "Man1 Man Oil" several times a day, but of course the stuff comes off on clothing quickly. No improvement so far. I think I'll try making a cap from a condom to keep the cream in place during the day. I'll post here if any success.

pheobus, let us know how your restoration project goes.

Newby99, I was 5 months post-op before I was able have orgasms again, I don't think it's particularly unusual, especially older guys such as myself (I'm 70). After a month the doc gave me the go ahead to give it a go but while the implant made it nice & hard, there was no happy ending. Kinda scared me but after another couple of months I felt I was getting closer, which made the hours of "practice" worthwhile. Finally the deed was done and things returned to normal for me, until I started on FlowMax for an unrelated and minor problem. Suddenly back to full blown anorgasmia. I took the FM for maybe 3 weeks and stopped last Jan but still nothing up until now. I still feels good to smack the old boy silly but no happy ending is a real bummer & I'm searching around for a cure. We'll see how it goes but I'm not holding my breath! I started a thread on the FlowMax in this subject, so I'll see what others have to say as well as read everything I can. Reports to follow!
Cheers,

I've been all over the map with DE. I had it before my implant and I have it now. Once in a blue moon I'll come during sex with my wife. The last time I refrained from porn and jerking off for a week or two (it was tough lol). We did it reverse cowgirl and with some movies and I had premature ejaculation which has only happened three of four times in my life. When my cock is sensitive enough to come I can tell at the beginning of sex. It's delicious and rare. I think it's tied into my free testosterone levels and and the sensitivity of my glans.

I can come and have every night this week watching porn by myself but can't in the bedroom. I really have to focus though. My dermatologist gave me zinc oxide and said to put it on 3x per day to protect my penis from too much friction from my underwear. Would be nice if the scientists really research this problem and come up with a solution before I buy the farm. Until then, it' still feels great to be able to participate. So much worry over something that last 15 to 30 seconds lol.
Thanks

I suffered from the same issue. It took me forever to climax whether by myself or with PIV sex. I saw on another post on FP somebody mentioned a product for sensitivity from Adam & Eve called "Make Me Cum." I bought some and have been pleased with the results. Rub some on the glans, wait a few minutes and give it a try. At first it did do much but as time went on it improved greatly - Could also be psychological to some extent. Unfortunately, doesn't do anything for my other problem - retrograde ejaculations.

Barry,

I am wondering if you were implanted infrapubic or penescrotal ?
