Delayed ejaculation

Postby wgs743 » Sun May 19, 2019 2:19 pm

Has anyone experienced delayed ejaculation or no orgasm when taking Tadalafil 5mg daily for BPH? I have been on the Cialis regimen for a couple of months and have had delayed ejaculation for past 3-4 weeks. No problems before taking Cialis daily, so that seems to be only variable.
I inject 28 units of Trimix, so no erection problem. At 75, I am on a bunch of meds. Wondering about drug interaction. Will see doctor in a few weeks.

I have no direct experience with Cialis for BPH. There are a number of posts on FrankTalk from men who have ejaculation problems if they use too much Trimix; I have this problem myself. I have wondered whether this problem is due to the erection being too hard. Those of us with BPH already have an enlarged prostate. I wonder if a really firm erection squeezes so hard on the prostate that the semen has trouble getting out. In your case, since Cialis has a long half life, it is probably still having an effect on the blood flow to your erection when you make love. If this idea of over-squeezing has any validity, you might try using a little less Trimix to compensate for the effect of the Cialis. I know in my case that it is a balancing act to find the amount of Trimix that gives me a hard enough erection for intercourse while still allowing me to ejaculate.

Thanks 60s_surfer.
I never thought of that. I have been increasing Trimix by 1 or 2 units each time to get a long lasting erection after having it go soft too early. I will try backing off dosage and see what happens.

A tiny bit of reading indicates to me that Levitra (Vardenafil) might contribute to anorgasmia but probably not Cialis (Tadalafil).

I have used Viagra, cialis, and Trimix without any delayed ejaculations. However, since I started using a VED (the only means that currently is effective) which produces a very hard erection, the tension band has reduced sensitivity, and made it difficult to ejaculate. In order to ejaculate now, my wife needs to work a little harder to stimulate my glans which helps to eventually bring on an orgasm. However the ejaculate is prevented from escaping until the tension band(s) are released.

Based on this scenario, I doubt an extra hard erection would prevent ejaculation.

You might consider a "booster shot" part way through. Reserve a bit of extra beyond your needed base amount in the syringe, say 10-20 units for a refresher booster after the initial hit wears off a bit. I have also found "wearing off" can be position or stimulation related. Try some withdrawl stimulation. Some recommend a ring to prolong the effect. We've had mixed results. I feel like I'll explode and I lose sensation and she thinks I'm coming at her with a 2x4. It gets really big.

I am taking Tadalafil 5mg for last 3 months, have no erection issue. But for last 2 weeks i feel there is some ejaculation issue. even after hours of lovemaking i feel it hard to ejaculate, my gf is becoming angry over it and asking me to stop taking Tadalafil. But I am enjoying the game.

i tried daily cialis for a bit and I was able to get hard but COULD NOT CUM. It drove me crazy.

It also gave me muscle ache deep in my pelvis, bad enough that I couldn't sleep or sit still. So I stopped. That is when I got started on TriMix. That is working (mostly) for me now. But delayed orgasm can still be an issue.

=================

I'm injecting Trimix with a little Cialis/Viagra thrown in for good measure. The combination works well. But sometimes, I can't cum. Sometimes, my wife has the same problem. I'm pretty sure we've been making love too often. Here's why:

We've analyzed all the available evidence and here's what we've come up with:
1. We both can usually cum if we're willing to cum in the first 5-10 minutes.
2. We both usually don't cum in the first 5-10 minutes because we want to make love for hours. When we do this, we stay on the edge of climaxing for hours. The technical term for this is "Edging" (where a person keeps putting off the intense feelings that lead to orgasm).
3. After hours of lovemaking, we are intoxicated, our brains soaked with "happy hormones", and we are in a state of acute ecstasy. But, now, both we and our sex organs are somewhat numb and it is harder to reach orgasm, sometimes not at all for one or both of us.
4. Sometimes a 5-10 minute break can bring back the urgency, intensity, needed to reach orgasm for one or both of us...or not. In which case, we chalk up another 1-3 hours of incredible lovemaking and have a go at it again in a few days.

My wife and I are sort of torn between having a quick, intense orgasm, or making love for hours. Occasionally, we get both; other times, only hours of intense lovemaking, which is incredibly wonderful in its own right.

Most recently, I've had several weeks off from work and we've made love every 2-3 days for hours and hours, and I think I've overdosed on endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin hormones (the "happy hormones").

I'm serious. I think I need a neurotransmitter/neuroreceptor ratio/balance reset. I've read about this phenomenon effecting men who watch a lot of pornography and who masturbate a lot while watching it, especially if they do a lot of "Edging". Eventually, they get a deficiency of neuroreceptors. In acute cases, it can takes months for men to reset their neurotransmitter/neuroreceptor balance. When the proper balance is restored, they are able to resume normal sexual relations. But before the reset, they cannot climax with a woman or while masturbating.

For the last week+, I have not been able to climax. The feeling I need to feel in my groin, the right one to start an orgasm, just hasn't been there and I couldn't conjure it up no matter what I did. I tried everything. No orgasm. Finally, the other night, my wife gave me a prostate massage with a vibrator. I came all over the place; no shortage of semen, but the intensity I usually get was dulled.

That fact, the dulled intensity, has pretty much convinced me I need to take a break from sex with my wife. When I say a "break", I mean not every other day. If I go 3-7 days, I will have to make love to her again to keep my sanity. And eventually, I will start cumming again.

I've experienced this before and eventually it works its way out, but it can take me weeks to finally get reset. Oh well, until then, I'll just have to settle for making love.

One more thing: My wife and I both seem to have been able to cause a quick neurotransmitter/neuroreceptor reset by getting VERY sexually excited with foreplay, then cumming in the first 3 minutes of intercourse. With Trimix, I've got hours of erection ahead of me, but the orgasms we've both had have been worth it. More than once, breaking the Edging pattern we'd developed by having an orgasm as soon as possible after entry, was the key to us resuming our normal sexual activity.

I hope some of what I've related is helpful.

P.S. What we're doing to our penises is unseemly. They were never designed to be used this way, so one should expect a little problem every now and then.
