I am Jeff from Tampa, partnered for 24 years. Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at the age of 45 y/o and had robotic prostatectomy 2 months after receiving the news. About 6 months after surgery, I started with injections. TriMix was prescribed but I couldn’t get the dosage correct, I would have 3-4 hr erections. Sounds like fun but it was really painful and I hated it. Finally doc changed me to BiMix and it works well. I can maintain an erection after injecting for 1 - 1.5 hrs. Having ED for me has been as much about the mental/emotional part as the physical part. Still feel inadequate much of the time. Miss shooting a load (I can still orgasm) and spontaneity in my sex life. My partner has been supportive as he can but he will never really truly understand. Even with ED, I continue to have a very high sex drive. HMU if you are interested in chatting further.

Psychogenic cause of ed much exaggerated. Work on assumption of physical issues. In my case smoking a pack a day from ages 16-23. Later aggravated by prostatectomy. Let urologist investigate.

Hello guys ...

100% gay man here. Not much at all into "anal" sex (maybe "top" a few times in my lifetime).

Had large B-Cell Lymphoma in 2015. I was 55 back then. Had a tumor the size of a tennis ball - just outside my rectum near the prostate.

Tumor was treated and I'm fine now.

Also had prostate cancer, very small Gleason 6 1 out of 12 cores. Had to radiate because my rectum was going to be radiated. Can't radiate the same area ore than once.

A year after that I began to notice the expected: Erectile Dysfunction. Had IMRT (radiation). A year go I did the shockwave thing - it helped. An ultrasound found me to be "not sever" - about mild-moderate.

Now... as far as gay men think, we focus on a man's dick and not much the size, but the hardness and the squirting afterwards. I used to shoot in small puddles. Now I shoot in small droplets.

My case is a double whammy: I can't please men. And a lot of my own feeling is gone. I used to be a wild relentless sick-minded chronic masturbater. I can share stories that will make a raunchy porn video seem lame.

I get extremely frustrated at times when I remember what I used to do vs. now.

Can anyone here relate to my story?

60 year old. Had lymphoma and PCa.

Hi Alex - sorry to hear about all you have been through. I definitely understand the frustration of then vs. now. I had prostate cancer and a prostatectomy in 2012 at 45 y/o and still struggle with this same feelings. Mine range from sadness to anger and any place in between. I tried to bury my feelings for a while but that ultimately didn’t work. Every day is different, some better than others. This group has been a great resource of support and strength. You are not alone in your feelings!

If you would like to reach, send me a private message here to talk further.

Jeff
