Anal play after prostatectomy.

Most times, ED is ED. But sometimes, concerns are going to be different.

Anal play after prostatectomy.

Postby Bizzmann » Wed Aug 21, 2019 4:10 pm

I’m a 63 yo bisexual you had perineal prostatectomy 2/2018. I never bottomed but enjoyed anal stimulation and prostate massage. Have not used any anal toys since surgery. For bottoms who’ve had prostatectomy, do you still get enjoyment without the prostate when penetrated? Are the certain anal toys that provide enjoyment? BTW, I have to use injections for erections but orgasms are great either flaccid or hard (just have to have a towel for the climacturia.

Thanks for any feedback.

I am a straight male whose girlfriend is soon to experiment with prostate massage (which I have never before experienced). We are studying up on how to do it.

So, take my post with the above caveat.

I expect that how much nerve damage you had with your prostatectomy will be the greatest factor.

You can answer this question better than I can; How much orgasmic response seemed to come directly from you prostate massages and how much came from massage of the area around it? Of course, this is not a binary question.

Just curiosity prompts me to ask if you are contemplating being a bottom? I expect the intimacy you might experience would be enjoyable?

I do regard sexuality as non-binary - a spectrum - both as to gender identity and gender preference, so please do not condemn me for being just hetero and sisgender.

I hope my thoughts help and I look forward to reading other's responses.

I can't offer much advise but I have had my prostate removed AND had 37 post op radiation treatments of prostate bed and has made my colon somewhat tender so I have not tried my toys much. They are still enjoyable but not nearly as much as before.
Hope this helps.

You are only the second person I've heard that had a perineal prostatectomy. I asked a gay friend about that one time and he told me the prostate is the pleasure zone but in time, you can train your rectum to similarly be erogenous with dildos. That is what he said. You can train it.

Or body parts nearby train themselves. People who have had spinal cord injuries and lost feeling in the lower halves of their bodies often find the margins of where they lost feeling become more erogenous, thus substituting those nerve endings for the ones previously responsible for sexual response, even to the point of orgasms.

Theory is that the nerves that used to send signals to the brain from the genitals now have their terminus at the point of injury, so substitute signals from that area of the body. Much the same way the blind people develop extraordinary hearing (actually they don't, but they just learn to pay attention better and interpret better) the brain's pleasure centers and orgasmic response transfers attention to those signals it still gets.

Bizzmann,

You may find this thread from the "Sexuality" sub-forum worth reading: "Anal stimulation post prostatectomy" https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=558

I wasn’t familiar with perineal prostatectomy but after reading about the placement of the incision I can understand your concern. I didn’t have a perineal prostatectomy but can tell you that without a prostate I still enjoy the receiving end of anal sex. My partner is pretty well endowed (8.5”) so we took it slow at first. Suggest you take it slow and use a lot of lube. Wondering why this surgery was chosen? Best wishes and keep us posted on how it’s going.
