Believe me, you're not the only one. I can definitely relate to this.

I am going to try mirtazapine for intrusive thoughts, it may actually improve erectile function but I'm worried about weight gain.

I have taken 45 mg mirtazapine for several years. It is my basic/only antidepressant. Not sure whether it contributes to my E.D. or not; as I related in an earlier post, other SSRI meds were part of the problem. I'm not brave enough to discontinue the mirtazapine; do not want to go back to the depression state I once had. I manage to counteract the problem with the vacuum pump, so there is the tradeoff.

Reduce the SSRI (or others) dose can help. Sometimes an micro dose is effective and ok for sex. Talk with doctor. Don’t stop immediately.
