Scared, excited...and about to take the plunge...

Most times, ED is ED. But sometimes, concerns are going to be different.

Scared, excited...and about to take the plunge...

Postby GruffHunter » Mon Sep 24, 2018 6:04 pm

60 year old gay guy here who has had an active sex life until about 2 years ago (even made a few porn movies). No one seems to know why, but about two years ago everything stopped...tried pills (didn't work), and a combo-injection, which works GREAT, but only about once every three times...and is a pain in the ass to travel with. Its also pretty useless when you're going to be at a bar or party for 5 hours or so before you need it.

So, I'm visiting my doc soon, who recommended an inflatable insert last year. I've been reading and watching videos like crazy trying to get informed. A few questions (and you've all heard these before.)

1) I'm blessed with endowment...normally, when erect (which I'm not any more), I'm almost 9 inches long and a solid 6.5 around. I need some reassurance that one of these pumps (coloplast, LGX) is going to give e the girth and length I'm used to. I'm convinced, from what many of you have said, that it gets hard enough for anal, but I'm getting mixed signals on size, especially for larger guys.

2) There are some surgeons who seem to be famous at this. Mine doesnt have any youtube videos (Dr Gross in NH), and I'm nervous about going to someone who isn't the best in the field. Thoughts?

3) It seems many guys have to have a replacement after only about 3 years. What is the realistic life expectancy of these contraptions?

4) Any now, my funniest question...I like to show up places with a package that draws attention. Is it possible to inflate about half way and keep it that way for hours on end?

5) How does it hang when flaccid? The "literature" says its perfectly natural, but some guys seem to report that they hang "a little fuller, a little more pronounced." yes or no?

Thanks for any help you can give me. I realize once I make this decision, there's no going back...

Hey Gruff, welcome to Frank Talk. Humour me here for a minute.. lets pretend the answer to all of your questions is not what you were looking for... what would you do with your 9" whopper??? Until I was implanted (only 9" in my dreams) I had ED too... the answer is NOTHING... You would do nothing with it because you have ED. Any improvement would be better than what you have now. I can't answer all of your questions so I will leave it to either Smetro or Maxxx… our members with "trunks"... :)

Larry,

Excellent point!

Gruff,

First, at 9" x 6.5" you should have to register that thing somewhere for the sake of public safety  .

My Whopper Junior (5-1/2" -- think "Twig", not trunk) is the same size it was before my prostatectomy which took away about 1-1/2", so I'm pretty happy. My girth is a tad less because my corpus spongiosum seldom engorges since the prostatectomy. And I love showing up with a bit of a package for the first time in my life (except of course, when I'd pop a boner in school right before the bell would ring :o ).

I'm pretty sure once you have this procedure you will never want to go back! I often wish I had been born with it.

I've a big guy, too, but at 8" with girth similar to yours. I got a Titan XL 24cm +1 four days ago. My surgeon said Titan was a better choice due to my girth and that AMS wouldn't fill it. I can't wait to pump and begin cycling. My boyfriend has a fat 9" and might get an implant if mine works out. He has so-so luck with pills and hates trimix shots. Please make more porn after the implant and be open about it! I was dissapointed to not find any porn with an implant other than one homemade video with a straight couple. I think porn can be very affirming and educational.
Wichita, KS. Single, 51, 6', 200 lbs, ED pills since '00, Trimix since 02/17. Implant on Oct. 10, 2018 from Clay Mechlin, MD in Columbia, MO. Pre-op 7.8"x6.1" cut. Now have Titan 24 cm + 1 cm extender, 7.5"x5.75" 25 days post-op.

I wonder what would happen if you said you needed it for reproduction and say that your wife's religion does not allow IVF. :)
