Hi
Im 23 years old and i am impotent, really im completly impotent since i was 15-16 years old sure. I did a doppler and when they put the caverject i had not erection... So i went to my doctor and he said me what i have venous leak (those words always are in my mind..) Well i asked him what i could do and said me "nothing u are very young for implant.." (really i know) pills dont work
I have been thinking about the idea of an implant and well my conclussion is i know that my only option is the implant but i am too young and i have really fear about the failures of the implants. I have fear if i put the implant and it fail in one or three or five years or it is infected.. i would have 28 years and i would have to kill myself thats my fear
So i have thought that i ll have to wait until the age of thirty or thirty three or forty yo for the implant... But it will be very difficult and many years in which I will be alone in the world and sad always without friends and without girls of course and without motivation for nothing.
In conclussion i have many fear about the infection of the implant, for the sucesives surgerys and that the option of the implant in my 30s or mid 20s the option simply wont be possible because my dick is very infected or death.
What do you think about this? I should wait true? But i know it will be hard.
Thanks
I would like than someone in the street would shoot me and kill me because I would not be able to myself ( i m a coward) and so I would not have to think about this and i would be in peace

My friend I wish I could offer some sound advise for you but would only encourage you to keep your head up as you will find many friends here that can offer advise based on personal experiences.

I'm sure that others will chime in an offer support in many areas. I am certainly much older than you but having suffered from ED for some 15 yrs can understand the heartaches and loss of self confidence it can cause. Fortunately, I discovered this site and have learned so much from these guys and now have overcome my problems.

You have come to the right place and I encourage you to read thorough posts as there is a wealth of information to be had.

Good luck to you Brother!

Find another doctor. The statement that you are too young is a lie. No-one should live in the situation you are in. I had a health issue that no-one wanted to deal with. It was hard for me to find a doctor who would do it. I went through 15 doctors till I found one. He messed it up. Not words you want to hear but you need to find a doctor that will do it for you but a good one, not a horrid one like mine. I will get mine fixed by a better doctor and go on. Find a good doctor, get yours fixed and go on with your life. Good doctors put in many many implants w/o an infection and do a fine job. My doctor did crappy work, I am immune compromised with HIV and I did not get an infection. You can get an implant and can have a normal life w/o the fear of rejection. Many hugs. Prayers your way.

There are members here which have your age and had an implant. Search along, you are in the right place, although with a lot of doubts

Many many posts here where people had second surgeries and most say the second one was very easy compared to the first with much less pain. Often they state the implant the second time was bigger than the first.

But i have read that the risk of infection in the second surgery is much bigger it is true? it scares
And What happens when an infection occurs? when the mplant must be reemplaced it is always due to an infection?
Sorry for so many questions

I've never seen any claims that the risk of infection is higher for replacement surgery (although perhaps that could be the case for less experienced surgeons). The best way to insure against infection (and to ensure a good outcome in general) is to choose a highly experienced surgeon with a verifiable track record. This is the most important step you can take in this journey - good luck!

I have been on implant forums for about 4 years and I do not recall anyone getting an infection from their second or subsequent implants. Infections come from sloppy nurses and doctors. There are things you can do to prevent infection too. Anti bacterial soap for a few days before surgery. I actually soaked in a tub every night including the night before and morning of surgery with a little bleach in the water to kill any bacteria on my skin. Don't fear, find a good doctor. That is the answer. Cheers bud. Don't sweat it.
