Seems the case that if they don’t work, then implant is up next. I’d be happy to get to some sense of normalcy tbh. What would you do in my shoes if you don’t mind me asking?

Truthfully, I hated doing the injections. If I would have known about implants before sticking the first needle in me I would have gone that way. Granted they worked, for a while for me. But when they started failing it was like ED coming on for the third time. That got me quite depressed. Unless you have accepted it's sooner or later for an implant, pass up the Trimix. Other than having my youthful penis back the implant is the best. No waiting, no scheduling sex, no drugs into my system.
I know others will hang me for saying that, but that's just my experience talking.

Age 29 was when I saw a doctor the first time about “my erection quality isn’t what I think it ought to be.”

Back in the dark ages I guess I was 31 by the time I had the Doppler study and pressure monitors shoved in my pecker and strapped to a table for X-ray pictures with contrast etc etc.

Big time venous leakage, very position dependent. Bad news is it doesn’t go away.

The good news is even if pills don’t work, it’s possible that injections will. Definitely give them a try.

I was on shots for 32 years. In retrospect I probably should have implanted 5 years sooner. Towards the end shots did work, just not terribly well. Erection duration wasn’t great after about age 60. I implanted at age 63.

If the shots work, use them for all they’re worth. Follow medical instructions. You’re putting chemicals via injection into your junk. Once you know your dosage, don’t experiment on yourself.

Good judgment and sanity with the shot needle can buy you a lot of good time and the sex was great. In my case I went 32 years. No ER trips for priapism. No scarring or Peyronie’s. Everybody’s going to have a misfire, but I can count them on one hand. It’s pretty obvious if you aren’t injecting in the right spot.

Good luck. Implants are great too. But don’t be in a hurry to get one until there are no good options left. When I started injecting, all we had was bimix, a few brave souls were getting malleable, and the 3-piece inflatable was still basically on the drawing board. If you can wait 15 or 20 years, who knows what they’ll come up with?

Well, the 15-20 years in the future thing, way I look at it, imagine what they could do for holders of older implants (ie they could do a lot for average Joe but also the ones who have older implants).

So you liked the injections more eh? May I ask why? Way I see it, seems the implant is superior to injections in every way (travel, spontaneity, storage, etc)

As a short cut for multiple quotes, you can click on "Quote" in the forum response you want to quote and the forum software will reopen with the desired quote already in the proper code software. You can delete part of the text so it only displays the specific part you want to quote but please indicate somehow that the quote is just a partial. Make sure you leave the opening and closing quote codes.

Leaving that tab open you can then, in a separate tab re-open the same thread and then find the other response you wish to quote and again click "Quote" on the page. When it reopens with the quote code, just copy all of the text and then paste it into your already opened response but outside any other text, including the code. You can do this as many times as you wish but try to be reasonable and somewhat brief. Type your new response outside of any forum code.

Us guys sometimes forget we are not all that different from our female counterparts. Needless to say there is more to getting highly aroused and ready for sex than just saying the word, commanding it done or just pressing a button.

I thought about that, the not really liking my woman part, but I don’t think that’s it. I’ve had blue balls with her without having an erection. That says to me that it’s a blood flow issue, along with weak morning wood, and solo issues too. The weak erections started more than two years ago.

If it is my woman, and part of it is psychogenic, with the way I feel, the hottest woman in the world MIGHT make have some success with me, BUT I think the psychogenic issue is tiny and shouldn’t be enough to bring on issues like this, as evidenced by the physical responses nocturnally and when alone.

One day with her, I came after fellatio. Half hour later I was hard again (to the best of my body’s ability) and she was stimulating me but the erection was weak and I ended up telling her to forget it because I could feel it softening in her mouth. I don’t think that would happen without attraction to her, the short refractory period like that.

I mean even in marriage, people gain weight and change and all that. Any psychological issues shouldn’t be present tbh; I’ve had erection success with women less attractive than her. I feel crazy trying to sort through my psyche for a psychological cause tbh. If it was, it would be bad enough to warrant needle use to overcome the issues. Basically, if my issues were psychological, I’d be so down bad I’d need the needles anyways. But I don’t believe that’s it.

Update: I spoke to my Uro again. I told her on Viagra, I can get pretty hard. (It's only on Viagra, not on Cialias, and I do the 5 mg Cialis daily btw along with the Viagra). I haven't had intercourse with my gf yet though. I don't like the Viagra side effects either.

But I don't know anymore, on one hand, I'm wondering, is it my gf? She is okay average, I think she's cute, I love her, but it's not like I think she's the most attractive girl in the world by any means. I do get a bit self conscious about that, having a girl that is seen as pretty by my friends and the world...I wonder if that plays any part in this. She's so good to me though!

On the other hand, I don't see many girls around here who I would trade my gf for at all, with her personality included. And then it's like, just give me the injections so I can live a bit more of a normal sex life. It's driving me mad how these urologists are so reluctant to perscribe the injections at my age! Like you're messing with a man's wellbeing here!

I'm surprised they don't hand out the injections more frequently too. Considering the way things are today with big pharma.

I suspect they hold off with younger men because they probably think it is more psychogenic in nature. I'd be careful combining viagra and cialis. For me it makes side effects worse. For me I think I actually have less side effects with Viagra.

Tadalafil seems to be able to give me headache pretty easily, and also the stuffed up nose and ears. Bad heartburn when I attempted to combine it with Viagra.
