Anything new?! Any updates on anything? (Penile venous leakage)

Are there any doctors that are actually working on a cure or fix for this? Or are all the doctors pushing pills and implants as the solution to Penile venous leakage?
This is driving me crazy that there’s no surgical procedure for this. I’ve been dealing with this problem for about 8 years now it’s just been getting worse every year.
This has taken a huge toll on my confidence and my mental health. Sometimes I wonder if I would be better off in life if my penis was working correctly. Sorry just had to vent a little I’m pretty sure some of you guys are going through the same motions. I’m close to giving up and getting the penile implant. I’m 27 years old And it doesn’t look like my condition is going to get better on its own.

Disclaimer. I am not a doctor , nor do I play one on television.

I was about your age (29, actually) when I first sought advice for what turned out to be a nasty venous leakage problem. 1980s. Took a couple of years to finally figure it out but they ended up prescribing bimix. Cutting edge at the time.

I did pills. I did trimix. I went to teaching hospitals and talked to docs experimenting with crural tucks and venous ligations (not litigations, but I bet some came later).

One doc told me that the biggest obstacle to fixing veins is that the body will see any rerouting of blood flow as an injury, and find smaller veins to bypass the obstacles.

i finally threw in the towel and gave up on waiting for a perfected VL surgery and got an implant 8 months ago. My only regret is not having had it done as soon as 3 piece inflatable implants became reliable and commonplace.

If pills and/or shots still work for you, no reason to let them carve on you. But if they don’t, an implant beats the hell out of waiting for a surgery that might never work or fix things permanently.

I am at the point to where the implant feels totally normal.

whatever you do, good luck.

From what I have researched on venous leakage. It is a fantastically difficult problem. Part of the difficulties is as txagq8 decribes. The human body is very good at healing as it wants to. Sure, it can be tricked or even fix on occasion. But the VL is one of the more difficult ones. That is the real reason that the common path is pills, injections then an implant. All are proven to work treatments. The treatments for VL have pretty much all failed. To think that someone has conquered it is a fool's folly.
If you want a reliable erection that works? Follow the proven path.

I don't know of anyone who has had success with ligation suregry beyond a few months, and i have scoured the internet. I trawled it dry in obsessive desperation.
Nothing works, and implant is the only option.
I've gone coming on three years now without functional erections, so I'm well passed the acceptance stage. Can't wait for implant. It is what it is and wishful thining just wastes time. IT won't be as good but that's just tough.

Doctors can reattach an amputated penis, but there’s still no surgical procedure to fix Venus leakage.. I honestly don’t think there’s enough research being done on it.

we are part of a segment of unfortunate consumers ... it is convenient for medicine to sell us its cheap implants to produce at such inflated prices.

I hope that you guys understand all of the costs that are rolled into the price of an implant. According to my best memory. The implant costs around $8000 in USA dollars. I don't know the price in your part of the world. It could be even less. More money goes to the hospital & the surgeon than to the implant maker.
If you spend some time over on the implant section of the forum. You will find that most members that have an implant believe that it is worth every dollar that they cost.
I truly do wish you guys good luck. But I'd like to point out that the cost of an implant might be the best money that you ever spent.

I appreciate your response

I really do not contradict that the implant is worth it, what I consider is that implant producers set the prices of their products based on what they know we are willing to pay but if you analyze the product well it does not have much complexity in terms of The materials or the difficulty to be produced, clearly have patented the product since there are no competitors that offer these implants at a more competitive or accessible price for us

No factual value here or deep opinion, but just an observation:

40 years ago, men of a certain age (usually corresponding to a reduction in potency, or E.D.) would have what was called a "mid life crisis" and go out and get a sports car or some such "toy". It seems to have made such men feel better.

A sports car costs about as much as an implant and has a service life about as long.

Of course, medical insurance does not pay for a sports car.
