27 Years Old Question About Venous Leak

Postby nick.young1888 » Thu Jan 16, 2020 3:26 am

Since March of last year I've been experiencing ED like symptoms. It literally happened overnight where one day I was driving to work and my penis felt weak...idk how to explain the sensation but my pelvic area felt numb. I also noticed the day before I woke up with no morning wood. I was pretty scared and the whole time at work I was stressing over maybe having ED. Mind you, I am a very anxious person and always tend to jump to the worst possible outcome in any given situation and stress about it until I am reassured otherwise. I rushed home from work and tried masturbating and I couldn't get an erection. I literally ejaculated with a flaccid penis in like 20-30 seconds. Clearly, after this I was a shit show. I could barely sleep that night. I did not go to work the next day and instead went to a urologist that i paid $300 out of pocket to see and the entire time he yelled at me saying "You're 26 years old! You're not impotent!! Your erections will return just stop being so stressed!". He was of no help and offered to prescribe viagra. I was hesitant to use it but I just went and picked it up at the drugstore (they gave me cialsis instead since they had no viagra). I took the pill, went over to a friends house, and got an erection when I was getting out of the car just by thinking about having sex. We didn't have interourse but I recieved oral. I ejaculated quickly this time too but this time i had an erection. Ever since that day I've been stressing 24/7 and going to all different types of doctors and all of them are saying I am fine and I should see a counselor and that at my age the most likely cause would be my anxiety or my alcohol intake (I do drink a lot). I stopped drinking for an entire month and worked out at the gym excessively. I noticed a little difference in my erections for the good. I was getting my morning wood back (not every day but still bette than no morning wood).

My doctors basically ruled out any organic cause without taking any tests other than a blood test for hormones (which came back normal). I don't think my ED is organic in the sense that I can't get erections because i still can but my erections feel different (maybe it's just a mind game my anxiety is playing with me idk). I don't have any conditions related to ED like diabetes or peyronies disease or epilepsy or MS, etc. But I read that a venous leak could happen at any age. After I read about venous leaks and its symptoms i started noticing some of the symptoms like erections not lasting long anymore. During this one year period I had intercourse a few times and all the times it lasted the whole way with an erection. I had foreplay PLENTY of times in the past year (kissing, rubbing, touching, etc.) and each time I had an erection that lasted until I ejacualted. My problem is when I am masturbating now I notice my erection going down quicker when I take a break to type to search for new porn. Or even when I get up in the morning with wood it disappears quicker than before. Before this whole ED issue I would go to the batroom and still pee with a hard on. Now, when I wake up I notice my erection go down in like a minute or 2. I know another symptom of venous leak is position dependent rigitiy which i don't have. I sleep on my stomach and get erections at night when I think about sexual stuff, I can get an erection sitting up or laying down while masturbating and I can get an erection standing up, I was making out with some really hot girl for like 10 minutes and when she pulled my pants down I had a hard erection literally standing up high. Also, is it true that with a venous leak your size decreases as well as ejacualting? my size is still the same and i still can shoot up to my chest when i ejaculate.

The main cause of concern is that I notice i lose my erections faster which could be due to anxiety about my erections but idk.

I asked my doctor if a venous leak is possible and he said it is very unlikely to get a venous leak at my age. He said either really old men get it or you get it really early in life like in your teens and it is just a birth defect.

I admit I am a bit of a hypochondriac and in the past I always stressed about having certain diseases and every single time the tests prove otherwise. So maybe this is all due to my anxiety toward erections? just wanted to see if anybody with a diagnosed venous leak thinks i have one or not. Thanks!

It certainly does sound like there is a somatic component. You get an erection, your subconscious mind balks and produces a physical symptom - loss of erection. The mind can produce all manner of real, physical, clinical conditions (both to the bad and to the good).

Sexual performance is one area of life that is PARTICULARLY susceptible to the self-reinforcing effects of the mind. The mind is, after all, the most influential sexual organ i the body. Without the mind's participation, sexual pleasure, arousal, etc is very difficult or simply does not happen.

Do you have a counselor you see?

My layman's guess might be to suggest a hypnotherapist, if not for a "cure", but just to see if some relaxation suggestions might break the cycle of failure.

As always, keep in mind I am not a medical professional of any kind and this is REALLY outside my experience zone. But my lay mind seized on a good (medical/psychologically qualified and licensed) hypnotherapist might be able to help. Not only with the E.D. but your entire cycle of anxiety. Without knowing you, my opinion is really just speculation, but a session or two with a counselor/therapist is likely a bargain compared to $300 for a urologist

thanks.
do u have a venous leak?
i was hoping some young men with VL would let me know some of their symptoms so i can see if it matches with mine.

i really hope it is just my anxiety and not VL but honestly i have no idea.
The fact that this happened overnight instead of a few progrrssive months makes me a little reassured that this may be psychological but honestly you never know.

just bumping this :)

i still get occasional morning erections (not every single day like i used to). is that a good sign that venous leak is not possible in my case?

Nick
It sounds very much like you have Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome - which is not a terribly descriptive name. But it is VERY treatable and curable with the right therapy. Please send me your email in a private message and I'll send you material. Do not go to any more urologists, they don't know anything about this.
Go to www.pelvicrehab.com to find a physical therapist near you who is specially trained in this. MOST physical therapists are not trained to help you. There is really only one school that trains PT's. This website is from them.
Secondly, you MUST get medical help for your anxiety. That means a combination of medication and talk therapy. Otherwise, the stress/anxiety will keep getting retriggered.

There is hope for you, don't worry. You will be fine - but you need to go to the right people and places.

okay! i will send my email right on over to you! would it still be Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome if i don't have any pain in the area nor do i have difficulty emptying my urine or feces?

the only symptom really is a numb feeling genital area and not being able to "flex" my erections or keep an erection for as long as I used to.

Hi Nick.
Welcome to the board.
I’m 27 like urself.
All I can say is that if u can still get full erections with ur partners and last normal amounts of time and not much has changed from how you were years ago. Than just keep at it.
If you can get hard and stay hard your good. Don’t over think it. The facts are there.
If u start having trouble performing in bed with a partner than you can start asking questions.
Also. If your ED were mild. Some pills would prob help you and last you a long time. No need to freak out.
If you any questions. Lemme know. Here to help

Hi, nice to meet you!
Well, I haven't had intercourse during this past year but I've had tons of foreplay (making out, BJ, etc.) and i've gotten and kept an erection. I am just trying to rule out physical causes like a venous leak for example.

what is your issue with ed? and when did you start to notice it?

If u can still get and maintain and erection with ur partner. Stick with it. Natural is a winner. If u get to the point u need help. Try pills. The Implant is a last resort.

I was plagued with ED ever since I remember. It got progressively worse to the point where I wouldn’t even get hard unless I was extremely turned on. And even then it wouldnt last. What caused it? Who knows. Venous leak probably. Also prob the flow to penis wasn’t optimal. So my only choice was an implant

i was afraid i had a venous leak but idk. i heard venous leak is something you have ever since you start getting erections or when you get very old. i heard it is nearly impossible to get venous leak if you have had god erections and you are still young. I really don't want to resort to pills let alone an implant. I just want to reverse my symptoms back to how it was when i had great erections all the time.

Is that you in that video? do doctors seriously not have a better option to cure venous leak other than sticking an implant in there? did they also let you know what may hvae caused a venous leak for you?
