The implant should provide rigidity by the tunica albuginea. The corpus spongiosum is unaffected by the implant and a restriction ring can help with that (if the spongiosum needs it-which is often not affected by E.D.)

So, no, not normal for everyone, but those whose spongiosum ALSO (in addition to the corpus cavernosum) does not work well, a constriction ring can help.

The following is a new video from DR Perito, in it he discusses the use of a ring with an implant to facilitate glans engorgement.
Great to hear!

25 years old here.
Psychogenic ed after a bad experience with a girl.
On antidepressants now (Trintellix, Mirtazapine and Citalopram).
Libido is ok, I have an anxiety problem related to the loss of erection, and when it comes to masturbation or sex I lose my erection very fast.
I’m also taking Xanax daily, and Cialis once every two days.
Hoping to get my problem fixed soon even though I’m losing hope.
Implant may be a solution but I’m scared as fuck as I do not have physical problems and my morning woods are constant and very strong.
I’ll consider an implant when I’ll be 30 if I won’t have solved my problem.
Ed sucks .. life destroyer
26yo from Italy. Psychogenic ed since dec 2019, got worse in Jan 2021. On Cialis 5mg every 24hrs, it works! But masturbation and sex bring me a lot of anxiety. On talk-therapy.
Update: diagnosed with slight Peyronie’s, investigating more on that

Thanks for sharing your experience.

My contribution is that psychogenic ED may (hopefully) be best treated by psychologic means. Talk therapy or maybe best would be a GOOD experience with a girl. Psychological sex therapy (even to the point of a sexual surrogate therapy - which was legitimate in the past and may still be) might help. There is no pressure as there usually is in a relationship, confidentiality is assured and the surrogate can give non-judgmental advice, coaching and encouragement.

Also, your ED may be currently caused by the medications and less psychogenic than you think. Adjusting (with the advice of your prescriber) levels or alternative medications with fewer (or, at least, different) side-effects is also a solution to explore.

Thanks mate.
Yes fortunately cialis works pretty good and I get strong erections, but at the moment I cannot overcome my fear of losing erection so my anxiety increases a lot when I masturbate.
Meds of course worsen my condition but my doctor has diagnosed a major depression and he says I need to take care of it before thinking of my erection, as I had very strong suicidal thoughts one month ago, my parents saved me, really.

Hanging out with a girl would be a good therapy, and I’m texting with a pretty and lovely girl that seems more interested to me rather than to my dick, and that is super good. She knows I’ve had a bad experience in the past and that sex is a delicate point to me.
I hope meds, cialis and this girl will help me overcome this nightmare that is truly destroying my happiness.

Hi, I’m 28.
I’ve had venous leakage since I first started having sex.
When I was 16 I would lose my erections every blue moon it literally happened 3 times in my 5 year relationship.
It be came worse over time.
I finally went and got checked by the doctor at age 24 because it started happening all time. And they diagnosed me with venous leakage. I can still use pills, but the erections are inconsistent. Sometimes it’ll work sometimes it won’t.
I’m currently waiting on a miracle I refuse to get the penile implant.
