Implantat yes or no?

Postby Lilo94venösleak » Wed Jun 19, 2024 7:07 pm

I would like to start a survey here. I am 29 years old and have my whole life ahead of me. I have suffered from venous leakage with a soft glans for 9 years. I can still maintain a 50-60 percent erection during sex and penetrate with it. At the moment sex is possible with a 50-60 percent erection but it is unsatisfactory for me and the women. All the women have left me because of this. I have heard things like the sex is not hard enough. At the moment I am really racking my brains. Should I get an implant or not? I don't want to act too quickly. I got the venous leak as a result of a penis enlargement operation. What do you think? Should I get an implant or not?

Te has hecho eco dopler?

Hey mate!

Thanks for sharing.
I think given the severity and prolonged time of ED. It wouldn't be a bad idea to get one.

Given you have some momemts of the penis working, I would try to fix that first before the ultimate leap.

I too had a leaking vein, fixed it but had little improvement. If all options are legitimately exhausted and you have discussed it with multiple professionals. Implants wouldn't be a bad idea.

If you still have working anatomy to some degree, don't go anywhere near an implant. Really who wants bits of inflatable plastic in their body. I am 45 and never been able to have successful sex because of a venous leak (only managed penetration for a few seconds in my life), but there is no way I would go near an implant. There will eventually be regenerative medicine, something I feel will happen in the next 20 years. You are still young so have time.

if there is future regenerative medicine, why can’t it regenerate the tissues lost to an implant? How many decades should you wait with a terrible sex life before fixing it, waiting for the next big thing?

These are honest questions.

This is a philosophical question that everyone has to sort out for themselves.

For me the criteria was pretty simple. Can I have sex that is satisfying to me and my partner NOW. When I was 40 I started to notice I was having problems with that. Pills fixed it for a few years. But as my ED progressed I needed more help. So then shots worked for almost ten years. The dose and drug concentration increased as my ED progressed until I hit the limit.

When shots stopped being effective enough for me to have satisfying sex it was time for an implant.

I only get one life. This is it. This is all. I want to have a satisfying sex life NOW, not hope I get to have one decades from now. I want to provide my partners with pleasure and intimate connection NOW. Not hope I get the chance in the future.

In life there are a LOT of things that are out of my control. The pace of medical breakthroughs and FDA approval are certainly some of those things.

Something that IS in my control is picking a GREAT surgeon
and doing exactly what they tell me.

Will implants improve in the future? Sure. And when I need a revision in 10 or 15 or 20 years I’ll get the latest greatest version. If there are other breakthroughs I’ll make use of whatever can help me. I’m not locked into the 2025 version of implants. I can get the upgrades as they become available.

But I won’t stand around and watch my life pass me by waiting for some innovation that will FINALLY let me love and live.

I LOVE my implant. I’m having some of the best sex of my life.

Each of us has to decide what we want and proceed accordingly.
