Gainswave and P-Shot Journey

A very new area of interest is penile physical therapy. From exercises to stretching to vibrational therapy, it's all new and still being studied. This is where we can share techniques, exercises and successes.

My urologist provided the VED and recommends 2 sessions of at least 10 minutes per day of 'uncomfortable but not painful' pressure.
I do not really know all the reasons but together the three things seem to be working pretty well.
Married 20+ years. Have had just about every urological procedure except penile prosthesis. Castrated but on Test Cyp 200mg/week and Arimidex 2mg/week. Usually naked but kilted if not. Ask me anything.

So I have completed the sessions and had the second p-shot. Much the same as the first time, only this time I knew what to expect.

I can say for sure that I am thicker than before starting. I hang soft about an inch or so longer than before.

When I pump with my VED, it's battery operated and doesn't have a gauge, so the pressure is subjective. about 3 weeks ago, I was pumping too much and got a "blister" on the forward tip/fold of my foreskin on the left side of my cock. I waited a few days for the pain to subside and the blister to go away, then started pumping again. Blister tried to reappear and I stopped and waited a longer period for it to go away. Have been cautiously pumping the last couple of days trying to get back into the swing of it...

I have noticed the following results:
Longer, thicker erections, which have slowly increased in hardness over the period since starting. Still not at 100% as I'd wish but harder than I had been previously.
I have awakened with rock hard erections from sleeping. I mean so hard I could not flex and force any more blood into it. a real 110% bone.
I hang more when soft and feel 'heavier'.
My penis is much more sensitive than before.

I have to say that I took a hit in my libido completely unrelated to these procedures due to the death of a friend and some other issues I was dealing with for about 6 weeks. I had only been in the last week or so that I've really felt "up" to it.

I have been receiving the Gainswave shock treatments--done 9 now, and have 3 more (total of 12). My urologist does not use numbing cream at all. The only real pain is my perineum--and I feel the shock waves in my hip joints then. The feeling in my penis is close to painful but not quite. It feels like e-stim (which I only did once). My erections have improved--good morning erections, harder and longer lasting erections. I do not use the pump and I have not done the p-shot (expensive).

One of the problems I have with both Gainswave and the P-Shot is that neither is FDA approved. That doesn't mean they don't work - but it does mean that there have not been extensive clinical trials with public data.

Right now, the only "data" on these procedures comes from the clinics and companies that are selling them.

Until the companies promoting these services are willing to step up, sponsor trials, and publish their data, I consider them to be snake oil.

It could be because it is so new that the FDA simply has not had enough info to approve it yet. :)

I am looking into the shock wave therapy for my ED. I am 76 years old. Have not been able to ejaculate inside my wife for over 15 years. I am able to get an erection using the generic sildenafil my urologist prescribes. I can enter her and can last around 5 minutes, but not ejaculate. She finishes me with her hands. She uses a vibrator to orgasm before we try intercourse. Locally we have two offices offering the shock wave treatment. When one goes to the office is there a fee for the consultation? Do you have to sign up for multiple visits? Do you usually get one or two treatments before signing up? Who gives the treatment, a nurse, the Doctor and is it a man or woman. I am a bit self conscious when someone touches my genitals other than my male urologist. I have read that after the treatment, an erection occurs, is it long lasting.

How many treatments are required for long time success. I have tried most all drugs including Viagra and Cialis. And we have a pump. After using a pump and releasing the band, I become quite flacid, and my wife has to work a bit to get me firm. The generic sildenafil works pretty good, and my wife is very compatible with using her hands for me to ejaculate. I am needing some guidance on the shock wave therapy.

I am going for my first P-SHOT with Dr. Goldstein on Monday (1/21/19).

I thought he said the Gainswave did not exist in the states at this time (only in Europe)....... but I could be wrong.

Question: what part of the body do they extract the initial blood from (i hope it doesn't have to be the penis)

Observation: On my requisition, it lists an erection injection prior to the infusion. (like maybe BIMIX/TRIMIX ?) if this is so, then is it not possible that the positive effects being noticed, for the days following the procedure, could be being propped up by this (no pun intended) . (similar to how some miracle diet pills contain a diuretic , causing the patient to initially lose water..... and then "rave" about the effectiveness of the new diet pill?)
Age 55. Diagnosed with “Post Finasteride Syndrome” and Peyronies in 2007. Initially erections were good, but there was numbness. Now erections are compromised, but good sensitivity. See Dr. Irwin Goldstein. On Clomiphene- Arimidex – Cabergoline.
