Hmmm perhaps stingerless new bee? ;)

Anyway, 55, Type 2 diabetic, under control for the most part. ED problems from early to mid 40's til now. Viagra worked for a while, the other 2 did not work at all. Viagra stopped working about 2 years ago. relationship with wife has deteriorated over time, have only had sex a couple times in past year, and then only Oral, before that it was doggy and finish really fast before it went soft. That stopped working and now I only flog the floppy for relief. Libido is fairly low for the most part but my doc did test my T ind it was about 600? or around that. Have a Urology appt the 12th of next month and am going to ask about injections. I already inject insulin, so it can't be that bad ... For the mean time I will lurk and read as I have been doing for a couple days now!

Hi jay
I was a similar situation. Type 2 diabetic, heart bypasses, enlarged prostate. Went through the pills. Shots are not the same as the insulin shots.the delivery system is not as smooth as the insulin pen. I could never get them to work well for me about 30% of the time I had some minor success . Some guys do great with them and are able to use them for years. I got an implant 2 months ago and regretted waiting so long. Good luck with the journey.

Welcome to the forum. I have been where you are before and after prostate cancer surgery along with type 1 diabetes and other issues. I don't mind a needle too much, but sticking your nerve filled dick takes something. Have done ED pills and shots. Planning on IPP in December. For the trimix shots I went to after cancer surgery they recommend regular length needle but I found the 1/2ml 8mm 31guage work fine if you use on limpy dick and put a little pressure to increase depth. It is psychologically difficult and tough on a marriage.
I do wish you well with your endeavors and improvement in marital relationship. My wife has been very supportive and understanding. We manage to get into the love scene 3-4 times a month. Although that needle is a bit disruptive to the mood but you charge on.
Take care.

Our stories are similar--see signature below. I've been injecting Trimix successfully for almost 7 years.

My suggestion is always try the less invasive remedies and move on up to the more invasive, with penile implant being the most invasive. Knife + penis = invasive, eh?

Here's to hard times. Feel free to ask me any questions about injections.

I had the Androgel for low T... it sucked. The injections are once every three weeks.. not bad at all and works great

My insurance does not pay for the pen so I am using the sryinges just as I would for the trimix. I see there is a autoject pen I saw in one of the youtube video's to use with the syringe, so that may be an option too. I carry all of my weight in my belly so that may be a needed option.

Yes, Thanks Greg and all of the rest for the warm welcome. It's appreciated and fantastic to have a place to discuss this with men who are going through the same thing.

Welcome.
This is the only place I've ever experienced where guys can and do talk about their most intimate concerns, fears, frustrations, hopes and experiences. It is like no other.
And it offers more support than a too small jock strap!
