Hello Testosterone power!!

Postby cotham876 » Wed Aug 10, 2011 12:48 pm

Hi I'm cotham876 just joined a few days after 70th. birthday. 70! Ridiculous Ifeel 40 apart from radical prostatectomy (keyhole) done two years ago by the wonderful Christopher Eden.

It's all great but no action!! Have for past three years had a very low testosterone level (7.3) now in second week of testogel. I have now turned into a raging sex maniac that thinks of nothing else but sex but can't get an erection. Pure torture. Start on MUSE 500 tomorrow. (Tried 250 but only gave 30%) Rather like pushing a marshmallow through a keyhole as my uncle used to say.

I am so pleased to have found you guys, you seem a great bunch stil displaying a sense of humour despite your troubles. I've already received some good advice and learnt a lot in the few days I have been a member.

It seems to me that I shall be best suited to injections but I hate needles. Here in UK we are offered Caverject - is this the same as Trimix. The info that comes with Caverject shows a picture of a needle going into a penis at least 1/2" !!!! Ouch. Tell me this is not true. But I've also heard some say it isn't painful at all.

Hello to you all.

Cotham

Hiya and welcome cotham.....
I am Bill, 73, In Michigan, USA.... (wow are computers great or what ?... imagine discussing ways to get our c ocks hard clear across the Atlantic Ocean with someone we hardly know)
Hopefully your caverject will work well for you, but keep in mind that Trimix is an excellent second choice. Once i found out the immediate and lasting results, i just stopped considering any other option (at least as long as this therapy works for me).
Stop into the CHAT room soon and often, I hope we can meet there some time.

Hey Cotham,

Glad to have you on the site. I believe that Caverject is the brand name of one of the ingredients in Trimix. Others with more knowledge will surely reply and clarify. I'm not sure what your T level measurement means. Over here, T levels are measured in hundreds: 657, 415, 586, etc. Your 6.5 does not compute, at least not for me. I'm a little surprised that your doc is giving you testosterone, since testosterone is something that prostate cancer feeds on. Please make sure that the person giving you the testosterone knows about your prostate cancer.

Finally, prick sticking is really no big deal. The gauge of the needle is so small that I don't feel it at all. But the rewards! St. George and the dragon! Whatever ickiness there may be from sticking a needle in your favorite body part is quickly overcome by the fabulous erection that ensues. Best wishes.

Greg (from Baton Rouge)

P.S. Sure hope you don't live in North London. We're seeing some bad stuff over here.

Caverject is the brand name for prostaglandin - also known as a different brand name of Alprostadil. Used alone, it is sold as both Edex and Caverject. It is one of the ingredients in Trimix and is usually the main ingredient.

Prostaglandin is the best for causing erections, but it can also be quite painful for some men. So, when mixed with Phentolamine and Papaverine it becomes part of trimix and can be adjusted in proportions as needed.

Just a public service announcement....

Welcome! I'm another Michigan guy, not too far from Bill.

I also used injections until my implant last March. I started with Caverject, I was one of those who had severe pain. I graduated to tri-mix and finally quad-mix which worked quite well. The needle is all in the head, you feel a pinch as it penetrates the skin, once that is over, there is very little discomfort while injecting. The result will make you forget all about it.

Good luck. Need advice on injecting, I can help and so can a bunch of other guys.
