Hi to all

Hi all,
I am a 64 y.o. guy who has “suffered” from ED for at least 20 years. At the beginning Viagra worked nicely but then I had to increase my dosage again and again and it was not reliable. Tried Cialis and had those terrible muscle aches. Levitra never really worked. Then I “graduated” to Caverject, which was a pain both literally and psychologically. I wouldn’t have minded if it worked reliably, which it didn’t. We then determined that my testosterone level was very low and I started with testim gel. That made a dramatic improvement for awhile and I was able to achieve a nice erection with a minimal dose of Viagra. Now, even though I am on a maximum dosage of Testim, my erections are beginning to weaken again and not last though I am on 100 mg of Viagra. So I tried the vacuum pump. I am not very impressed with the result. So, I joined this forum to learn from my fellow men and explore the alternatives. Thanks in advance for your support and advice.

Welcome -- love your screen name!

I'm in a similar situation -- Viagra 100mg works marginally well, but not well enough. Cialis never worked at all for me. Levitra worked marginally well, but not as well as Viagra.

I can get hard but can't maintain it -- don't know if it's a venous lead or something else. In my case it could be partly psychological. I was on an anti-depressant for a while, which as you probably know can contribute to ED. I'm off that now, but have trouble maintaining my erection long enough to penetrate. I also have low T, and have Testopel pellets implanted in by butt -- due for a repeat of that in a few weeks. I really like the Testopel. It seems to keep the T at an even keel without having to worry about slathering on gel. I used Androgel for a while, but it didn't raise my T level very much -- maybe I was a slow absorber -- who knows?

I just ordered my first VED, an Osbon ErecAid, so we'll see how that goes when I get it. I decided to try that first, and then go to injections if I don't like it.

Have you tried Tri-mix injections? These work better than Caverject for a lot of guys, and with less discomfort. Check out some of the posts in the injection forum.

Feel free to PM me if you ever want to talk. Also, come to the chat room and meet some of the guys here.

All the best,
Cary
